Darkwing Duck Game by Capcom Reviewed by The Avardancer Size: 2 Megabits Save: None. Released: 1993 Works with: Any version of Gameboy. Opening Snide Remarks: The cartoon series is funny. Capcom always makes great use of Disney licenses. This could be good.... Gameplay section: Darkwing Duck plays great! Using an upgradeable Gas Gun and a bevy of moves. Darkwing must travel to different locals around Saint Canard in an effort to find the evil boss in each level and beat the tar out of them. The game plays a little like Mega Man; but not much. It's a great game and a sense of humour has been emplemented into the game. Some of it is pretty funny. Some of it is a bit ridiculous. (Gee. I wonder why that banana peel is sitting there?) The replay value comes from finding hidden Bonus Rounds. Parts of the background are interactive! Graphics: The graphics are gorgeous. There's some "cut-scenes" before the title screen that look really good. And all the great animation is in here as well. Darkwing has some great animation and just looks cool. Sound: The typing noise is irritating. But the rest of the sounds add to the cartoony feel of the game. Music: It's jazzy, it's good. AND the TV theme is thrown in here too! Play Control: Darkwing is easy to control; and the moves make sense as does Capcom's trademark fantastic play control. Final Analysis: Do you like the TV series? You do? Well, then GET this game! Oh, heck. Get this game anyways; it's good. It's classy. You'll like it. I did.
