Ducktales Game by Capcom Reviewed by The Avardancer Size: 2 Megabits Save: none Released: 1991 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Ducktales. Woo Hoo! One of my favorite cartoons has been made into a video game by Capcom! As many HARDCORE gamers know; Capcom used to have the "Disney" license and they pumped out a lot of games for the NES, Gameboy, Game Gear, and Sega Genesis with that license; but they lost it when Virgin Interactive, Black Pearl, and Disney Interactive stepped up to the plate and completely ruined the licenses with games like Toy Story, The Lion King, Pocahontas and some other games with a horrible balance of bad play control; and lack of innovation. Gameplay: Scrooge McDuck is on a treasure hunt! Does that sound cheesy? Well, it is; but the game is great! You have to "pogo" off of the enemies as you search several exotic places with hidden items, cameos of other characters, bosses, and secrets. Plus a hidden treasure in each one. Did I mention that sometimes you must hunt the world over for key or for an item to get past a section? Well, you do and you'll like it. Graphics: The graphics are exactly like it's NES counterpart; but in Black and White. The graphics are clear and some of the animation is pretty good. Sound: One word: clear. Two Words: Truly original. Three words: Kind of annoying. Music: Some of the music is annoying; but some of it is great. The TV show's Theme song is included. Play Control: The play control is classic Capcom excellence. Final Analysis: Do you like the cartoon? Then you'll love this great platform game.
