Kirby's Dream Land By Nintendo Review by The Avardancer Size: 1 Megabits Save: None Released: 1992 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Yuck. This is cute. Actually, I'm okay with cute. Because, I'm tough. (Only people with guts can take cute.) What is Kirby anyways? Gameplay: A tad easy. (But that can be fixed.) A little short; but you won't care. It's fun. It's not a "standard" hop and bop platform game. It's more of a eat and spit platform game. It's got just enough variety to be good. Graphics: Graphics are clear, bosses are okay. (Though I must admit that Kracko is VERY cool.) There are nice cut-scenes in the game; and some of them are funny. Animation is good too. Sound: Kirby is a suction device and he sounds like it. The sound is standard. This sounds no different from a lot of Gameboy games. Music: Some of it is quite memorable. Some of it is annoying. It's interesting and there is a sound test in the codes... Play Control. You will accidently inflate yourself many times. (Don't take that the wrong way.... SICKO!) The control takes a little getting used to; but it's effective. Final Analysis: Need a quick platform fix? Then get this game! You won't regret getting this fairly cool sidescroller. This is Kirby's first adventure and it's worth playing. Score Gameplay: **** (4 out of 5) Graphics: **** (4 out of 5) Sound: ** (2 out of 5) Music: *** (3 out of 5) Play Control: *** (3 out of 5) Total (16 X 4= 64) Final Score: 64% Currently Known Codes: EXTRA GAME (Make it Harder.): Press UP, A, SELECT on the Title Screen. SPECIAL OPTIONS: Press DOWN, B, SELECT on the Title Screen. The options include a Sound Test, Life Meter Edit, and a Life Amount Edit. You can make the game really hard with these.
