Kirby's Dreamland Game by Nintendo/Hal Reviewed by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 2 megabits Save: None Released: 1992 Works with: Any Game Boy. **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: This game has got SKILLS! I guess Nintendo thought they needed a mascot for Game Boy that had never been used in another game before. (Of course now he's on every system, since he's so cool.) **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game is WAY fun. It's easy to catch on to playing it. You play as a little marshmallow guy that inhales his enemies and spits them out. You can press up to inhale lots of air and float. The enemies all look as cool as Kirby does. Liked: Awesome Fun. Hated: Needs more levels. LOTS more. Way too short. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: It has a cutesy look to it, but the frame rate and design look awesome. You never expected graphics so nice on Game Boy. Liked: Great graphics! Hated: Cute may not be a word in some players' vocabulary. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Awesome music. Kirby's inhaling sound is cool. The music is one of the best parts of this game, since it is so fun to listen to. You'll want to turn it up, but it won't go high enough! Liked: Super cool music. Hated: This is one of two factors I found totally flawless. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: The play is fun and innovative. Inhaling air and floating is cool. You'll wish you could do it in all platformer games. Liked: Innovative. Intuitive. Spectacular. Hated: This is the second of two factors I found totally flawless. **************************************************************************** Improve: If this game gets a color update, (and I'm positive it will), pack it in with Dreamland 2, and maybe some other Kirby games on GB. Give it some extra levels. RIYL: Kirby and his games. (This one was his first, but many people played others before this one.) **************************************************************************** Final Words: Great game. A suggested buy. Even though it is a quick play, you'll want to play it over and over again. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 23 out of 25 Final Score: %92 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: at startup screen, hold down, select, and b. This brings up a screen to alter amount of lives, etc. Also cool sound and music test. At startup, hold up, select, and a for a different, extra-hardgame.
