Malibu Beach Volleyball Game by Activision Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: 512 Kilobits Save: None Released: 1990 Works with: all Gameboy versions Opening Snide Remarks: A beach volleyball game for the Game Boy seems like a strange idea. I hope the Game Boy can pull it off. Gameplay: Mailbu Beach Volleyball is a 2 on 2 volleyball game. The point of the game is to put more points on the board than the opposition. You can play matches of varying lengths with male or female teams representing various international locales. Graphics: The graphics in M.B.V. aren't going to win any awards. The players are small and poorly detailed. The court graphics are simplistic as well. Sound: The sound effects are standard issue for a Game Boy game. They aren't annoying though. Music: The music in Malibu Beach Volleyball is fairly good. There's not a big variety in it though. Play Control: This game controls perfectly. The players move fast and respond very nicely. The control is rather forgiving in that pretty much every shot is returnable. Final Analysis: Malibu Beach Volleyball is the best volleyball game that I have ever played. This is one of the best sports games available for the GameBoy.
