Mortal Kombat Game by Acclaim Reviewed by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 1 Megabit Save: None Released: 1993 Works with: Any version of Gameboy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: It would take Cartman to fall down, hit his head, and think he is Ming Li to describe this game: Sucky Sucky. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: Maybe you should sit down and play this slow, choppy game. Maybe you should waste about 10 minutes of your life on this game... Nah. They can't even fit all 7 characters in this load of lard. Even if you are an extreme fan of MK, don't play this. Liked: Playing as Goro. Hated: Everything else. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: They try to make it look all digital and stuff like the MK games on consoles. Just hand draw it, for goodness sake. Animation is choppy, and slow. Mortal Kombat is NOT a one meg game. Liked: Looks OK... if you don't move. Hated: Everything else. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Sounds like a remix of the series gone horribly wrong. They have understimated Game Boy. Liked: I liked how you could turn the sound all the way down. Hated: Everything else. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: When you press jump, your character does not jump. All the moves are hard to perform. Finishers are impossible. Liked: Pressing start is usually responsive. Usually. Hated: Everything else. **************************************************************************** Improve: Everything, Dangit. Everything. RIYL: "Recommended if you like"? I don't recommend this game at all. Instead, I will recommend something else to play. Play Killer Instinct instead. It has ACM graphics, and still manages to stay playable, in fact, it's really fun! **************************************************************************** Final Words: Sweet mother of Cartman don't buy this game. It will drive you over the edge. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: * Graphics: 0 Sound/Music: 0 Play Control/Game Design: 0 Personal Opinion: * Total: 2 out of 25 Final Score: %8 (Oh joy!) **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: Play as Goro: To play as Goro, you must first defeat the game normally. Now sit back and watch the credits. When "The End" appears, hold Up + Left+ Select + A. Enter your initials and press A.
