Mega Man 2 By Capcom Review by the Avardancer Size: 2 Megabit Save: Password, Grid Released: 1992 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: It's Mega Man! And this time he must battle the menace of Quint (The evil robot of the future. Actually he's a wuss.); and the Evil Dr. Wily! (Are you surprised?) Gameplay: Classic Mega Man stuff; shoot things, aquire weapons, and fight bosses. It's classic, it's good. I like it. Use strategy; and fight for your life! Graphics: Sharp, cartoony. I wonder why no one complains about how cute the Mega Man series is. Sadly; those who criticize the cute graphics in Yoshi's Story, Banjo-Kazooie, and Diddy Kong Racing will pop in a Mega Man game anytime. Why? (I don't know. Maybe they're hypocrites.) The graphics are cute; but they do the job. Cut scenes. Gameboy Color's pallettes are really good and with a little trial and error; you can make the game look fantastic! Sound: Ugh. The only good sound effect here is the explosions. Everything else is lagging and generic. Music: Good, techno-like; great beat. Oh, heck. THE MUSIC ROCKS! It's tight. It's the bomb. It's... It's... really... good, actually. Play Control: Why can't Mega Man duck? The play control does the trick. But it slides a bit too. Could be improved. Final Analysis: Mega Man fans should dig this challengeing game. Non-Mega Man fans should avoid it. It's almost the same as every Mega Man game out there. But, Rush the Robo Dog is in this one! (An actual first in the Gameboy series.) Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound: *** Music: ***** Play Control: *** Total: 21 out of 25 Final Score: 84% Currently Known Codes: There's lots of passwords; but here's the password for the last stage with everything you need to beat it. A1, A3, A4, B3, C1, C2, C3, D1, D3. (Many agents have died to bring you this code.)
