Opening Snide Remarks: The Pokemon sensation hits the U.S.  What's my opinion
of this game?

Gameplay Descripion: Pokemon is a very unique RPG.  The point of the game is 
to get all of the badges and win the Pokemon League championship, but the 
real point of the game is to collect all 150 Pokemon.  This game's not that 
tough to beat.  It's enjoyable and very fun.  I don't really care for RPGs 
but I love this game.  My only problem with this game was that once I beat
the game, I really didn't care about collecting all 150 Pokemon.  This
changed once I began to watch the Pokemon television program.

Liked: Unique gameplay.

Hated: There's really no reason to collect all 150 Pokemon.

Graphics Description: Pokemon pretty much looks like a standard GB RPG. The 
graphics are a little better than that, though.  The Pokemon stat screens 
look great.  The fights look a little rough, though.  Overall, Pokemon
is a great looking GB game.

Liked: Good graphics.

Hated: Nothing.

Sound/Music Description: Pokemon has some great music.  It's kind of like 
most RPGs but it has a cartoony sound to it.  The sound fx are good, but I 
wish that the Pokemon made the sound fx in battle that they do on the
cartoon.

Liked: Good music.

Hated: Nothing.

Play Control/Game Design: Pokemon controls well.  The controls are simple and
they are very responsive.  The game design is good, but the quest to collect
all 150 pokemon isn't all that strong.

Liked: Good controls.

Hated: There's really no reason to collect all 150 Pokemon.

Improve: Add the sound fx of the TV show.

RIYL: Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium.

Final Words: No GB owner should be without Pokemon.  This is one of the most
unique videogames in history.  You are not a videogamer if you don't love 
Pokemon.
