Power Pak: 6HR Battery & 110v AC/Charger Product by nYko Review by Myau84 Myau84@aol.com Released: 1998 Works with: Game Boy Pocket Opening Snide Remarks: I went through 8 AAA Energizers in less than a month, so I really needed a battery pack. I searched the mall and found this to be the cheapest. It was only $9.99. It included the AC/charger, so I thought I was getting a great deal. Specs: The battery pack snaps directly into the GBP. It lasts up to 6 hours on an 8-16 hour charge. You AC/charger plugs straight into the battery pack. Pros: The Power Pak actually gives a better grip to your GBP, which is surprising. This package is only $9.99. Normally you would only be able to get one of these items for that much. The Power Pak doesn't add noticable weight to the system. The AC/charger is probably the smallest you can find. Its dimensions are all under 3 inches, which makes it great for travel. You can play with the AC and save the Pak for traveling. The AC is UL & CSA app It can be recharged over 500 times, providing a whopping 3000 hours of gameplay. Imagine the amount of money you'll save with this! It also has a 90 day warranty. Cons: There aren't many major problems with this. It says that you can play while charging in the manuel, but I couldn't seem to. Maybe I should have charged more, I don't know. I always recharge overnight, so there's no need to play while charging. It gives 6 hours of gameplay while most others give 8-10, so that might bother some people. You'll have to take the battery cover off, so you might lose it... and the AC wire is thin, so it might break easily. But these are all minor problems and they shouldn't interfere much. Final Analysis: If you need a battery pack, or just an AC adaptor for your Game Boy Pocket, this is the one to get. It's cheap, comes with an AC, and has a 90 day warranty. What have you got to lose?
