Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins By Nintendo Review by The Avardancer Size: 4 Megabits Save: Battery, three slots Released: 1992 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: This game looks good; but remember that beauty is only skin-deep! (Though sometimes; skin-deep is enough...) This is also the FIRST 4 Megabit game for the Gameboy. Ooh. Gameplay: This plays a lot like Super Mario World, minus Yoshi. It's a little easy. It's fun; but it doesn't make any breakthroughs or add anything to the Mario Series. (Besides Wario.) It's not the easiest game ever; but it's a quick play to a pro. (I can beat it in an hour and a half with all 32 levels.) Graphics: Mario is nice and big on the screen; the bosses are interesting to see, the graphics are nice and bold. If you put it in your Super Gameboy (Or Super Gameboy 2); you'll notice GRAPHIC CLIPPING. This is the name given to parts where you can see through objects or parts of an object disappear. It's hard to notice; but I caught it. That will knock the graphics a notch. But, over all it's a nice looking game. Sound: Standard cut Mario sounds. The same sound effects that you here in practically ALL Mario games. Music: Surprisingly forgetable for a Mario game. I can only recall the end music. It's not annoying or memorable. Play Control: Tight for the most part. Less slide than previous Mario games; you have no one to blame but yourself for missing that jump. Final Analysis: It's a good game; if you have $19.99 to spare and like Platform Games. Pick it up! It's very fun. Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound: ** Music: *** Play Control: **** Total: 17 out of 25 Total Score 64% Known Codes: The following "Play the demo" codes can endanger your save data in slot one if you beat them. Input the codes at the title screen. Mushroom House (First Level) = Up + Select Hippo Zone = Up + A + Select First level of Turtle Zone = Up + B + Select First level of Micro Zone = Up + A + B + Select Some of these codes may not work on some Game Paks. Easy Mode: Press SELECT in the choose game data screen and Mario will become small and the words EASY MODE will show up. The easy mode has less enemies.
