Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins By Nintendo Review by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 4 Megabits Save: Battery, three slots Released: 1992 Works with: Any version of Gameboy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I definetly found a cool, clean experience when I played this. It's one of my favorites. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: You have 6 zones to find 6 coins, and then the Final Level has Wario. If you lose, you get them all lost and have to get them all again, so don't let any of your relatives who are Game Boy impaired play. It's a fun addition to the Mario series that I found way fun to play and way fun to beat. Liked: A great Mario Game. Hated: Losing your coins. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Mario is big compared to his SML1 counterpart. Did you like SMB3 as much as I did? Then you'll like this. Liked: Great big Mario. Hated: Nothing I found to hate. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Fun Mario tunes, they are each remixes of a standard tune (you've never heard it before on any other Mario game) that is played in the first intro level. The sound FX are cool, too, but only if you like jump, stomp, jump, stomp... Liked: Cool music sets the beat of the game. Hated: Sound FX are Mario standard fare... Good, or bad? **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Gotta love Mario's spin jump, a move inherited from Super Mario World. You may feel a little slide in your step, though. Liked: Moves are cool, and control is nice and tight. Hated: Someone spilled Cola in Mario Land... or do I need new shoes? **************************************************************************** Improve: I still think you should put the first three games on one pak, and not give Wario Land 2 all the credit. RIYL: Any Mario game. **************************************************************************** Final Words: A sweet breeze through Mario Land. Lots to see and lots to find. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 22 out of 25 Final Score: %88 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: The following "Play the demo" codes can endanger your save data in slot one if you beat them. Input the codes at the title screen. Mushroom House (First Level) = Up + Select Hippo Zone = Up + A + Select First level of Turtle Zone = Up + B + Select First level of Micro Zone = Up + A + B + Select Some of these codes may not work on some Game Paks. Easy Mode: Press SELECT in the choose game data screen and Mario will become small and the words EASY MODE will show up. The easy mode has less enemies.
