Talespin Game by Capcom Reviewed by The Avardancer Size: 2 Megabits Save: None Released: 1992 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Some people think that Disney games automatically are horrible. Let me set the record straight. If it has the words "Capcom" in the "Game By" section; then it probably plays a heck of a lot better then more "Mature" titles. Gameplay: Think "R-Type" in Disney skin. Now throw in the ability to reverse the scrolling screen, parallax scrolls, well-placed enemies, and bosses. It's actually fun, mindless, and challenging. Capcom is in top form. The Disney liscense is from pure laziness to create a brand new game. Feels arcadish. The bosses are pretty challenging. (Sometimes.) Graphics: Lots of animation. Some "Pop-in". Nice graphics and "cut-scenes". There's a little bit of slowdown. I like flying upside down. Sound: There's the standard sounds and thankfully they don't sound out of place. Music: Happy music; and an actually good rendition of the theme song. Play Control: This is where the game excells. Tight, responsive, dead-on, and practical. Final Analysis: Do you like a challenge? This is a game to try. The only gripe is that you must BUY power-ups. Some people will not buy it because of the Disney liscense. Those poor people will miss a darn fine game.
