Wario Land 2 Game by Nintendo Reviewer: Kyle MacDonald E-Mail: gademacd@gte.net My First Impression: What??? I can't die?? Too easy, but I'll buy it anyway because I liked Warioland 1. The graphics look good, though. After Playing: I'm GLAD you can't die because this game is tough. Loads of enemies and other obstacles. The graphics are phat. Plot This game has a nice plot with the pirates breaking into Wario's castle and taking his treasure. Wario has to chase them all over creation which helps the plot. Every "Story" has a point, unlike some games where you go through many levels just to get to a final destination, making you wonder why you had to take a zig-zag course, when you could've taken a straight line. Rating:10 of 10 Challenge VERY challenging! This game was created for the best players. You have to be a strong thinker to succeed in this game. The many enimies and secret passages make this game hard to find your around. One door can lead to many more doors which can throw you off track. Be sure to remember which way you came!!! The fact that you HAVE to find all of the treasure to beat the game is the way it should be in all games. Rating:10 of 10 Enemies Warioland 2 is LOADED with many varieties of enimies. From the tiny Punch to the big, mean Grunt this game has more enemies than any other game I've seen. Some of them are easy to beat, others are more difficult, but they all add to the challenge. The bosses in each story are well created by Nintendo. Each one has a soft spot where Wario can attack, but you better find it before they find yours!!! However some of the undefeatable enimies like the birds that charge you, are a giant pain in the butt. Rating:9 of 10 Music The music in this game is great. There are enough songs in this game to go for 50 levels with hearing any given song only 3 or 4 times, and they are all spread out. Some songs you only hear once in the entire game! Music changes when you get to the end of the level or are changed into other forms of Wario. Much better than the first Warioland when there was ONE song with 5 or 6 variations. Rating:10 of 10 Sound Effects Warioland 2's sound effects don't help the game much, but they don't hurt. There are many FX in the game, which is good, but you could play with the volume turned down. Rating:7 of 10 Graphics AWESOME, BABY!!!! The graphics in this game blew my mind. This game is for Game Boy?? Most Game Boy games have grainy graphics that don't change much. Warioland 2 has Super NES worthy graphics which is a HUGE compliment to Game Boy. Crisp, Clear, numerous, varying graphics are is one of the games best features. Rating:10 of 10 Length I think that this game is the perfect length. There are 51 levels broken in to Chapters and Stories. The levels are a bit longer than most games, but it doesn't affect the challenge, because there is no time limit, so you can take time to explore. Rating:10 of 10 Game Control This game is hard, not hard to control. Enough said. Rating:10 of 10 Overall Fun I enjoyed this game a great deal. It is difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier. Even if you have beat the game 3 or 4 times, you always want to play it again. Each time I have found more secret areas and coins. The many forms of Wario (Fat Wario, Flat Wario, Zombie Wario, Bouncy Wario, Crazy Wario, Frozen Wario, Tiny Wario, Hot Wario, and Puffy Wario) are fun to see. Great game. Rating:10 of 10 Overall Package Great game. Worth 3 times as much cost. If you haven't already, BUY IT!!!! Rating:10 of 10 Total Score 96 of 100=96%
