Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 4 Megs Save: Battery, 3 slots Released: 1994 Works with: Any Game Boy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Wouldn't you like to play a game starring Mario's worst nemesis? Nintendo thinks so. Another cool Mario game with "Land" in the title. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: You play as none other than Wario, Mario's enemy in the previous Mario Land game. The game takes place in Syrup Island. A big statue of a familiar princess has been stolen by the Sugar Pirates. Wario figures... If he steals the statue BACK, he's gonna get buku bucks if he can sell it back to the Royal Family. The Play variation is great. There are lots of levels, bonus levels, mini games, multiple endings, etc. The game will keep you entertained for a long time. A really long time. If you're one of those gamers that has to find everything in a game before you put it down, this is a good title for you. Forget everything you know about Mario. This game has re-designed almost everything from the ground up. From coin blocks to power-ups. From your final boss to the little tiny koopas. It's like no Mario game you have ever played. Liked: It's a perfect addition to any Mario fan's collection. Replay Value? Heck of a lot. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Wario is BIG. He's very easy to see on the screen. Nintendo tried to give Wario Land a look that had never been done before. And it worked. Everything looks great, the levels, the enemies... and the detail is great. Liked: Big Wario. Good Details. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Music and Sound FX? Nothing to complain about. This is Nintendo... The effects, the beats, it's all in line. Liked: Great, original songs that will make an enemy feel like a hero. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: New moves include stuff like bashing into the walls. Jumping, and butt pounding. Mario controls have always been great and easy. Don't you think? The level layout is great. Liked: Good level layout, new moves, good controls. Hated: No problems. **************************************************************************** Improve: A color version, along with SML 1 and 2, would be cool. RIYL: Any Mario game. **************************************************************************** Final Words: I've tried to find problems with this game, but sorry, I can't! It puts a new spin on Mario, and it's a great game for anyone to own. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 25 out of 25 Final Score: %100 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: Here's a nice little code that'll ruin the game for you.
