WWF Superstars 2 Game by LJN Reviewed by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 1 megabit Save: No Released: 1992 Works with: Any Game Boy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: One year later, the sequel arrives, and provides new options and modes for play. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game allows cage matches, tag team and one-on-one matches in addition to custom CPU difficulty. Your new characters are Jake the Snake, Sid Vicious, The Undertaker, and the Mountie. Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage return for a total of 6 playable characters. The play is most remiscent of Royal Rumble for SNES. The game also now features a two player mode. Liked: New options and characters make for a fun experience. Hated: More characters. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Mugshots of the wrestlers still look kind of good. The graphics now look like Royal Rumble, and the game looks a little more versatile. Liked: Looks better. Hated: Still needs work on framerate... fighting looks crappy. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: It still has the theme music for all the guys. The sound FX are good considering... but more are needed. Liked: Theme music. Hated: More FX. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Feels very choppy. A lot of the moves feel un-natural. Moves are hard to execute. Liked: Not much to like. Hated: Bad controls. **************************************************************************** Improve: WWF Raw came after this game... RIYL: WWF Wrestling. **************************************************************************** Final Words: If I could choose between Superstars 1, 2, and Raw, I would choose this game, because it is the most squared off. They have made it really fun. Despite some chopppy control, it is still the most fun of the games. WWF Raw actually loses flavor. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: ** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 19 Final Score: %76 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
