Yoshi's Cookie Game by NIntendo/Bullet-Proof Software Reviewed by The Avardancer Size: 4 Megabits Save: None Released: 1993 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Now let's all play with Yoshi's Cookies! Umm. Let me rephrase that now. Hey! I do not have my mind in the gutter, I was just walking along and the street tripped me. Gameplay section: The idea is to use a cursor to organize various cookies and shapes into complete rows before they overfill the Cookie Vat. I shouldn't fail to mention that there are over 990 levels. (There's 99 levels and 10 sub-levels in each one.) There's also a Two-Player mode, AND some computer opponents to beat. There's three of them. This game has a FOUR-PLAYER mode as well. Good golly. There's so much great replay value in this game it's unbelieveable. There's a learning curve; but it's not too hard to learn. It's easier to learn then Mario's Picross. Goooood Stuff. The game has two endings as well as, three speed levels and more. Graphics: Yoshi and pals look marvelous. The graphics are top-notch and more. The pieces are easy to see as well. Nice animation, and no slowdown. (Which isn't always a good thing. I would have liked a little slowdown...) Sound: The sounds are original and barely noticiable; mainly because there isn't much to them. This isn't a big loss though. Music: Some of the music is great; but you'll win more with it OFF. Play Control: Easy to use. But, Puzzle games usually always have good Play Control. Final Analysis: Like Puzzle games? This should be in your collection. You HAVE to have this game. Don't like Puzzle games? Why are you reading this? This game is a definate for Puzzle fans. Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound: ** Music: **** Play Control: ***** Total: 21 out of 25 Final Score: 82% Currently Known Codes: Extra GAME! In a One-Player Game; put the SPEED on HIGH, the SOUND on OFF, and push UP and SELECT on the LEVEL option until you see the NUMBER 11. You can select levels up to 99 now. These levels are harder and you need to get rid of the Turtle shell. The Cookies are different now. :)
