This is one of my NEW stories,this story is pretty sad,its a serious short story involing Howie and his long time girlfriend/best friend.
WARNING:this stry deals with a serious subject,if your at all the sensative type.either do not continue or have a tissue box close by.
Jade choked back a sob as she slowly unlocked the front door to her 4th story appt.
Walking inside she caught the sent of freash flowers. Slowly scanning the room she saw a single long stemed rose sitting next to her beeping answering machine.
She held back another sob as she picked it up and put it against her cheek.
She pressed play and the voice of her loving boyfriend Howie filled the room.
"Hi baby,Im sorry I cant be there,I could only stop by for a few minutes,I'm sorry baby but I have an interveiw,talk to you later,I love you"
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
Jade stared at the machine in silence.
"why me"she thought as she rememberd the horrible news she was just told.

Jade pounded her feet on the side of the examining table at the doctors office nervously.
She looked up as the door swong open and Dr.Brokmen walked into the room.
"well what did the results say"she asked nervously.
Dr.Brokmen slowly looked her in the eye.
"Im sorry Ms. Perez,but it looks like you have had breast cancer for along time"
Jade looked at him with questionable eyes.
"what"she asked in disbeleaf.
"you have breast cancer"Dr. Brokmen repeated as Jade's eyes began to water.
"but-but-I"she stuttered.
"how long do I have"she whispered.
"Im sorry Jade,but it looks like 3 months"
Jade didnt scream,faint or bawl her eyes out,she just simply nodded and jumped down.
"thank you Dr.Brokmen"she said as she shut the door behind her.

Jade slowly opened her eyes as the phone rang.
She leaned over the arm of the couch and picked it up.
"hell0"she said as she wiped her eyes again.
"hi baby,I have some bad news"Howie's voice came over the phone.
"not as bad as mine"she muttered to herself.
"what was that"Howie asked as Jade snapped back to reality.
"nothing,whats the news"she asked.
"we have to go to New York,some emergency"he replyed sadly.
"when"she asked still holding on to her rose.
"now"he said as he cringed.
"its ok baby,its not your fault,call me when you gt there"she said as she clutched it even harder.
"ok bye"he said sadly.
"I love you"Jade said while closing her eyes.
"I love you too"He replyed.
2 seconds later the phone line went dead and Jade put it back.
She couldnt help but feel releived.
"I just cant tell him right now"she said as she looked into a mirror.
"I'm afaird he'll leave me"
