some thoughts from those that have bought the book

The book will not only serve me in remembering my youth as a Mod but my children as well,

for they are interested in what their dad got up to when he was young[er]!

Mark Gillespie, Middlesex

Just to say many thanks for the book.

I'd heard quite a bit about it but have to say its even better than I expected so far I've failed in all attempts to put it down!!!

Ian Edmonds, Waterlooville, Hants Hants

What can I say about this book?

To say that I am delighted is somewhat of an understatement!

The book is absolutely amazing! I think a visit to brighton is on the cards

very soon...I'll be sure to recommend it.

Well done on such a superb book.

Gary Leeke, via email.

Believe me when I say that this book really goes into every detail about the film.

At 319 pages I can’t see that anything else could be added.

It does have it all.

Chasing the Wind: A Quadrophenia Anthology does exactly what it says on the cover,

an A-Z of all things relating to The Who film Quadrophenia.

Everything is explained in detail and is complete.

A worthy addition to anyone’s collection.

This is an exhaustive guide to The Who’s evergreen cult film…and an in-depth analysis

of the impact of both the film & the Mods.

To say that the author has had a brush with Mod lore is an understatement – he has in-depth knowledge of the movement, everything from attitudes of mind to how to sit on a scooter to complement its design.

For me, the best part is the tour of Brighton but there is plenty here to satisfy everything from obsessive interest or idle curiosity.

Paul Keith, The Brighton Argus

If you like Quadrophenia, The Who, Sting or just the era then this is the book for you!

Everything you ever wanted to know…this book has it all.

Written by an author who must have eaten, drunk & breathed the whole genre for a long

time, it gives a wealth of interesting, often funny insights into the seminal film.

So stop reading this review, buy the book, and have a great time!

Brighton rocks! And so does this book!

Amazon.co.uk review

There are some real Quadrophenia nuts out there who are going to love this book and some budding new Mods who will equally welcome the Anthology to their new found culture. They’re in good hands,

Gary’s research is accurate & he writes with the passion of a true fan.

Buzz magazine

I felt that I just had to write & congratulate you on what is obviously a labour of love.

I’ve never been to Brighton myself so the biggest compliment I can pay you is you’ve finally given me the incentive to actually get down there.

I’ll obviously be taking the book with me as a guide & from your description I’m sure I will have a fantastic weekend wandering around & being able to say ‘we woz there… It’s a book I will return to on a regular basis.

Sean Kilminster, Tyne & Wear.
