About the Founders

Whitney A. Davis founded the Children's Coalition in December 1999.

Mr. Davis is an AV rated trial attorney practicing flammability law in Sacramento, California, and in other states upon permission of the courts.

For the past 11 years, Mr. Davis has successfully prosecuted personal injury and wrongful death suits against members of the mattress, foam, and upholstered furniture industries.

Frustrated about the lack of industry action and the lack of motivation by the federal government to regulate this deadly hazard, Mr. Davis recently took his young burn survivors to Washington, D.C., to demand fire-safe mattresses.

About the Co-Founder

John Overchuck joined the Children's Coalition on its campaign to Washington, D.C.

Mr. Overchuck practices flammability law in Orlando, Florida, and other jurisdictions.  He has successfully prosecuted personal injury and wrongful death actions against lighter and mattress manufacturers.
