When you join the Music Boosters as an Orchestra supporter, you'll receive a FREE Chantilly Orchestra Car Window sticker for your car!  Be sure to mark "Orchestra" on your form and ask for the free sticker.

A Message from the President:   The Band, Choral, and Orchestra programs are already looking forward to another year of outstanding performances.  I would like you to share in their achievements by inviting all of you to join the Chantilly High School Music Boosters.  Joining the Booster organization is not just a way to raise money; it is mostly intended to increase participation in support of our music students.  Member dues only cover the overhead cost of the organization.  The active membership and participation of parents, friends, and alumni is critical for the success of the music programs.  Please help by completing the application on the back of this letter and returning it to the Music Department.  Annual dues are a nominal $10 per family, $7 for individuals, and $5 for teachers and alumni.

 The Music Boosters hold two general membership meetings during the year, one right before school starts and a second in late spring.  Individual meetings for Band, Choral, and Orchestra are held throughout the year.  Make plans to attend our first General Meeting in late September to hear about the exciting things planned for 2005-2006. 

Some of last year’s highlights included the Symphonic Winds and the Combined Choir performing at the 25^th Anniversary of the Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) State Convention in Norfolk, VA; the Jazz Touch performing at the same VMEA Convention; the Symphonic Orchestra earning a superior rating at the District Orchestra Festival; and the band being designated a Virginia Honor Band when the Mighty Marching Chargers earned a superior rating at the Marching Band Festival and the Symphonic Winds earned a superior rating at the District Band Festival.  Annual crowd-pleasers included the Jazz & Pizzazz shows, the Orchestra Halloween Concert, the Holiday Spectacular performances, and the Chantilly Jazz Festival.

The staff of Glenn Cockrell, Michael Fuchs, Aaron Mynes, Drew Ross, and Keith Taylor makes sure that our community is a great place for your children to receive a music education.  They need our volunteer and financial support as our music programs continue to grow and strive for the next levels of success.  Be a part of the Chantilly music experience.
