Some critics are reacting rather uncritically when it comes to supporting OSA in suppressing free speech. I have read posts which get across the point that every time I see a Swastika, tears of rage should spring to my eyes and I should scream out in protest at whatever or whomever OSA has directed my attention to.
I don't blame anybody for succumbing to OSA lynch mob tactics, as maybe next time they'll get to me, too. Everybody is susceptible to Scientology programming, as we all have weaknesses and susceptibilities. The problem is once you have crossed the threshold into uncritical thinking, then you are more susceptible to doing it again and again, and OSA will give you more and more Pavlovian reasons for doing so for purposes of fighting Scientology's American enemies.
How do I critically approach the use of Swastikas and Scientology? Scientology, an organization which has improved upon Hitler's propaganda and eradication techniques, spent a million dollars to put Swastikas in newspaper advertisements reaching millions of people, thereby gaining international attention. Due to the cries of protests from Jewish organizations, the Secretary of State said that Scientology was behaving in a "distasteful" manner.
Now, one freedom of speech protestor walks up and down the street with one sign which has a combination Swastika and Scientology cross, reaching hundreds of people. Due to cries of protest from OSA, critics, most of whom have crossed the threshold of uncritically following OSA's lead before and some of whom have violated copyright laws, are protesting that Bob Minton's sign will upset people. I have even seen a post that said that Bob Minton's sign will possibly cause Scientolists to become truculent.
Maybe Bob Minton will use a different sign because he doesn't want to upset people. If he does, the same people who are bashing him now will either wait until the next time OSA fans their flames of Pavlovian discontent or justify their own anger by creating more crimes against Scientology's enemies.
