For Valentine's Day, 2004, we went to the Rodeo restaurant in Al Bustan Rotana hotel. Their set menu for the evening was: smoked tomato stuffed with seafood salad served with wasabi and dill mayonnaise, panfried duck breast with figs compote and glazed endives, rose water sherbet, char grilled beef fillet topped with foie gras served with ragout of wild mushrooms, roast potatoes and shallot sauce, honey nuts parfait on Bailey's foam with wild berry compote, and finished with tea, coffee and mignardises (otherwise known as home-made chocolates). It was, of course, amazing.
