The aim of the clan is to provide an atmosphere where everyone has fun, gets along and works together towards the common enjoyment of the game of Medievia.
1. It’s only a game, don’t take it too seriously. Above all, you’re here to escape from real life for a little while and to have fun!
2. Everyone has an equal right to enjoy himself or herself. If you need help, by all means ask, but respect others’ choice to do their own thing. Don’t pester and most importantly, DON’T take any offence at a refusal to form, its not personal.
3. Do try and help clannies whenever possible.
4. We’re generally not a pk clan, but if you want to pk, go ahead and have fun. Just remember that not everyone will wish to get involved.
5. If in any doubt, refer to rule 1!
Clan Practices
Ranks
The only ranks in use will be Squires, Knight/Lady, Duke/Duchess, Prince/Princess.
Clanranks will be kept to a minimum to avoid unhappiness about positions in the clan, promotions and demotions. Everyone is an equal member of the clan. The ranks of Duke/Duchess are not a privilege, they are a responsibility – these are the heroes who have volunteered and are obliged to spend more time assisting clannies.
Upon joining, the new clannie will first be unranked and will be granted the title of Squire after you have formed/socialised with a good number of clannies.
Squires will be eligible for promotion to Knight/Lady after you’ve been an active clannie for 4 weeks.
To achieve the rank of Knight/Lady, the Squire will have to successfully accomplish a ‘quest’ with or without the aid of clannies to retrieve a heartstone from the Cliffs of Dahnakriss. Upon successful completion of the ‘quest’, the clannie will be promoted to Knight/Lady and bestowed a clanitem.
Eggs
The clan will provide eggs for the first multi.
Hero clannies should donate 10% of eggs collected to the clan.
The clan will assist clannies in obtaining eggs for subsequent multis. Alternatively, clannies will be able to purchase eggs for multiing from the clan egg fund at a discounted rate but this will be subject to availability. Priority will always be to clannies who need it for their first multi.
Trade Runs
10% of all tr profits should go to clan account.
When on clan trs, all profits should be split between the form so everyone ends up with the same amount.
Everyone is welcome to join a tr form, just ask. (you may not be able to join the current tr, but you’ll certainly be able to join the next)
EQ
If a clannie gives you eq and you no longer need it, pass it on to someone else in the clan, don’t sell it!
GENERALWe hope everyone in the clan will get along as friends but if there are problems, do talk to/mudmail/email one of the clanleaders/dukes.
The aim of the clan is to provide a friendly atmosphere, if a clannie proves to be persistently disruptive, he will be warned. If he/she continues to be disruptive, a clan vote will be taken as to his/her removal.
Clannies who are inactive for a prolonged period of time without explanation may be removed if space is required. These clannies are encouraged to rejoin the clan if they resume playing again. Please do try to email, leave a note on the clanboard or tell someone if you are going to be away.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER
If you have a problem with a clannie, keep it off public channels. Talk to me or Talie and we’ll do our best to resolve the problem.
If after coming to us you don’t feel we have addressed the issue well enough, by all means let us know….don’t let it simmer.
If someone complains about you, and by complaint I mean a VALID complaint, we will speak to you about it. If the problem persists, further action will be taken up to and including removal.
If someone wants to enroll we will ask the opinion of whoever is on. If you have a good reason why they shouldn’t join, please speak up. Don’t wait until it’s too late to say something.
Personality conflicts are unavoidable and will happen. If you don’t like a clannie for whatever reason feel free to stay away from them, but you will also treat them with the respect a fellow clan member deserves.
Swearing is a part of life. Keep it to a minimum on clan channel as god’s do listen in from time to time. If a clannies requests you don’t swear around them, please respect their wishes.
PK is a part of Med. Most of us are coming from a non-pk clan. Kill anybody you want, just don’t feel neglected or left out if some of the other clannies don’t wish to pk. DO NOT develop a cherry picker reputation. However if someone cherries you, feel free to cherry back.
If someone is removed, NO BASHING. Understand that no matter what you might think of them, there is always someone else who considered them a friend. Refraining from bashing publicly altogether would be a good thing.
We want this clan to be fun. It is after all a game. If something is stressing you, talk to us, we will do what we can to remedy it.
Again most of us coming from the same clan we are used to the leaders being unreachable. The day you can’t come to us with a problem, request or comment is the day we step down.
