CLAN GUNN of KINLOCHLAGGAN

Christina Gunn

Scroll

Christina Gunn (1816-?) was the third child of Hugh and Margaret Gunn.

Christina was a "spinster" and the last of the Gunns to live at Kinlochlaggan.  She continued to reside there after the death of her mother in 1857.

The family legend is that she possessed "second sight" and foresaw the lords and ladies crossing the moors in their coaches to Skibo Castle long before Andrew Carnegie had it built on his estate in 1897.

Christina died at Kinlochlaggan and is reportedly buried at Creich Cemetery.
