1999 EMS EDUCATION OFFERINGS EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE SEMINAR
Mark your calendar: Community Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, Mercy Memorial Hospital, Springfield-Clark JVS, and Clark State Community College will jointly sponsor an all day series of seminars on OCTOBER 2, 1999. Standby for more information, but expect sessions on: Biological Terrorism; Alzheimer's Disease; Hi-Tech Home Patients; Disaster Search Teams; and much more. ACLS Provider and PALS Provider Courses ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT COURSE
The ACLS Provider Course is an intensive multi-disciplinary program which presents the theory and current practice of the standardized approach toward cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Community Hospital offers two configurations of ACLS Provider courses: The ACLS Initial Provider Course is a 16 hour course offered over two days and is designed for those who have never attended an ACLS course or for those who wish an extensive review of ACLS material. The ACLS Experienced Provider Course is an 8 hour course designed for experienced providers who utilize ACLS skills in their daily job. ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Initial Provider ($95.00) June 7 & 14 October 21 & 28 Experienced Provider ($55.00) June 14 September 23 November 15 PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is an intensive multi-disciplinary program which presents: * information needed to recognize the infant or child at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest * strategies to prevent infant and child cardiopulmonary arrest * psychomotor skills necessary to stabilize the infant or child in shock, respiratory failure or cardiac arrest Lectures and practical stations include: * BLS and BVM ventilation * advanced airway management * vascular access, fluids and medications * management of rhythm disturbances; * neonatal resuscitation; * respiratory failure; * shock * cardiopulmonary arrest |
