Schope- (Photo courtesy: Hannah Stonehouse Hudson/ StonehousePhoto.com) Hello everyone! My name is Schope and I am the 'famous' guy whose picture traveled all over the internet. I am 20 years old and my story appeared on http://www.wusa9.com/news/article/216273/257/John-Unger-and-Schoep--Meet-The-Man-And-His-Dog-Behind-Viral-Photo-in-Bayfield-Wisconsin. The following is the story:
"BAYFIELD, Wisconsin (KARE) -- They say dogs are man's best friend. John Unger and Schoep are proof of that. Their friendship started when Unger adopted Schoep from a shelter as a puppy 19 years ago. It turns out Schoep wasn't the only one who needed to be rescued. "He's been my guardian for a number of years," Unger said. Time has given them memories, but it has also taken a toll on Schoep's body. "This joint right here kind of freezes up," Unger said pointing to Schoep's hind leg. Arthritis and hip dysplasia have settled into Schoep's joints. The only comfort now is a routine that keeps Schoep off his feet. Unger takes Schoep out into Lake Superior for a dip as often as they can. Unger gently places his arm under Schoep as they float together in the water. With no pressure on his body Schoep quickly falls asleep in Unger's arms. Schoep's eyes close as his head rests on Unger's chest. Sometimes they stay that way for hours. "This is living," Unger said as they floated in Lake Superior Thursday evening. Unger is careful with every minute. He's not sure how much longer Schoep will be around. He wanted just one picture of them in the water to capture their friendship. He asked Hannah Stonehouse Hudson, owner of Stonehouse Photo in Bayfield, to take a few pictures. She posted one picture of Unger and Schoep on Facebook, and it went viral within a few hours. It has now been viewed more than 2 million times. Unger said he is overwhelmed by all the attention. He just wanted to capture one moment with his best friend; instead he captured the world."

Sheba- Sheba was a beautiful 15 year old German Shepherd/Wolf. She was loved by her owner Don Witt of Oklahoma.

Skipper- On December 11, 1996 a very loved member of the family, a Schnauzer, went to dog Heaven. His owner says, "we loved him like a person. He went into a diabetic coma. An elderly lady gave him to us and we had him 5 yrs. He was 15 yrs old. I used to raise them for show dogs in Mo. We buried him in our yard so I go talk to him and put flowers on his grave. It was a terrible xmas for us and still is altho we now have a 'miss Taco Bell' who we love."

Smokey Frilling- Hi everyone!! My name is Smokey and this lady ask my skin Mom for my story and my Mom was so excited to talk about me because she loves me so very much. Anyway, as you can see, I'm a pretty good looking guy but I already know that!! Ok, well here is what my skin Mom has to say about me: "This is Smokey my life savior. Here is his story. Smokey passed away 9/27/13 at 18 years old. I got Smokey from a Humane Society when I was about 7 years old. He was a tiny little ball of fluff sitting in the back corner of his cage. One thing I will always remember is what the sign on his cage said "I have a hurt paw, but promise to love you forever." I went into that Humane Society looking for a dog that would be big, because I loved big dogs. He was labeled as a German Shepherd/Husky and I thought GSD he will be big, but he wasn't and to him that didn't matter. I grew up in the country and Smokey was the only thing I had to talk to and be with. He was always by my side never wanted to be anywhere else. He tried to come on the bus with and would run through the fields after the bus for a ways before he would give up. He was always there to greet when I would come home. We went in the woods all the time together and he was always right there never went far. I could see and hear coyotes, but was never scared with him by my side. Smokey is the perfect dog. People always dream of having a dog like him. He was never ever food or toy aggressive I have 10 nieces and nephews and they could all be on him petting him pulling on him and he just sat there happy as could be. He just loved kids so much. He would stand there while babies pulled up on him and he would walk with them across the floor. He was so gentle with my other animals cats and guinea pigs could sleep on him and he wouldn't even care. His favorite thing was learning new tricks he loves nothing more in the world than to make me happy. He would never give up or get frustrated when learning a trick and he would always get whatever it is that day. It was never a training process he just caught on things so fast and would often do them without me asking. For example his favorite trick was closing cabinets. After I taught it to him while I was in the kitchen getting stuff out of them he runs up and slams the door shut on my arm and he is all happy jumping up and down proud of what he did. He loved to show of his tricks when people came over and I very much enjoyed showing him off. People always loved him even people on dog forums that have never met him have fallen in love with him. When he was young I would take him into nursing homes and the elderly people just loved him so much he would just lay by everyone and lick them and was so happy to be with people and get attention. People always wanted him to come back. When I took him to dog parks he could care a less about playing or the dogs he would go find the kids and people. Often children would cry, because they didn't want him to leave. There was just something about him that people just fell in love. He was also very protective though. He knew when the right time to be protective was. He has saved my life more than once. One time he save me from a man that was inside of our house attacking me. Smokey didn't think he attacked. He didn't care for his safety he just went. Another time I was walking him and an akita was chasing us down I was yelling at him to run and he turns and runs towards the dog and as the dog was in mid jump at my face Smokey jumped right in the way. He was more than a dog to me he was my hero, my heart and my soul. He saved me more than just physically to mentally. I had a very difficult childhood and he was the only one I could talk to and cry on. I would often sleep outside with him in his dog house. He was my everything. Other not so difficult times in my adulthood he was still there for me to lean on and always knew when I was upset and he would lay on me for hours. I try so hard to describe the love he is to me and what he has given to me, but no words seem to describe him good enough. He truly was a one of a kind dog that I owe my life to. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it was not for him. People always tell me how lucky he was to have someone who cares for him so much, but I think I was the lucky one not him. I feel I can’t believe I was this lucky to be blessed being able to own such an amazing dog. Looking at what I wrote still just doesn't do him or his life justice. My life without his is empty. He has filled my heart with so much now I feel like everything I love is gone. I don't know how I can go on without the most amazing thing I have had in my life. He was my reason to breath and have always had him to hold on to my whole life. He was not "just a dog" to me he was my life." So, that is my story and I miss my family and friends so much but I watch over them everyday and one day we will meet again but until them, Mom, I love you and I know you loved me!!

SPUR- This beautiful canine passed away two days before Christmas 1999. Spur and his mother Lady, (See Lady) are playing happily in heaven. He will be greatly missed by owner Sarina and Shirley.

Stella- Meet Stella! Her Mom Cynthia says: "Don't have a bulldog but as an honorary member of this group I would like to introduce you all to my little sweetie Stella. She passed away a few months ago but we had a great time for the short time i had her. She was a puppy mill rescued Boxer breeder dog and had breast cancer that the first vet said was operable so I agreed to foster till it was removed and a forever home could be found. The surgeon, however, was more thorough and found a 2nd tumor that had spread all over inside her body. She gave Stella 4 months. We got only one month. Stella was a love and 8 years old, spent her last days playing like a puppy with a freedom she had never had before. She slept each night right beside me with her head on my shoulder snoring in my ear. She traveled with me on transports and gave licks to everyone she met. I am so glad I got to meet her. I wanted to introduce her to you." It was a privilege for us all to meet Stella and know her wonderful Mom. RIP sweet angel and play among the flowers and the stars!!

Sturgis - Sturgis crossed over Rainbow Bridge this morning, October 08, 2012. Mom Lori says "Sturgis was nine years old. She helped several of my rescues learn what a stable well balanced dog should be like. She loved her golden retriever best friend Connie and would spoil Connie rotten by cleaning her ears everyday." He was loved by so many and his Mom and Dad Ray miss him terribly. Love you Sturgis!

Sunny - Sunny was a guide dog. He crossed Rainbow Bridge November 08, 2012 unexpectedly. Cindy Leigh said: "She was by far the sweetest dog I have ever met. She was an amazing guide dog for Kolby...they were inseparable and their love was an unbreakable bond. Please say a prayer for Kolby...her best friend has left her. ;( "

Taloula - Little precious Taloula Mango crossed Rainbow Bridge on October 28, 2012. Her Mom, Cindy, and family and friends miss her so much! Run free with the Angels Taloula!

Tank - Tank is a majestic guy. Tall and dignified but, don't let the exterior intimidate you. His Mom Susan says he is a big ole loveable teddy bear!! Full of kissed and snuggles and cuddling. October 16, 2014, God was looking for another beautiful angel and He selected Tank. It was terribly hard on the family to let their big boy leave. Susan had this to say about Tank: "It's a very sad day here. We lost my husbands beloved Cane Corso, Tank, this morning. He was in the yard and then acted like his hips were locking up. I sat on the deck with him hoping it was a cramp or something. He seemed to be getting weak and his breathing was not right. It was NOT a heat related thing...it's so cool and nice, that is why we were in the yard! I came in and called my husband, leaving my son to watch Tank. Justin came running in and said get out here now. Tank had a severe seizure (which he has never had). He went unresponsive. By the time I had the vet on the phone and had my son bring the car around, Tank was gone! We are going to have his body examined to see what in the world could have happened to have him die so suddenly. It was very possible it was a snake although we didn't see one. All the Bullies and my son's Chihuahua are just fine, but now I am afraid to take them out in the yard without a leash! Tank was 8 years old and nothing but a big old baby. We are sure gonna miss you big guy. RIP baby." Tank was deeply loved by many family members and friends. Though we don't understand, we do know we will be together again one day and for many of us who have lost a loved one, animal or human, we grab onto knowing it will be a grand reunion!! Rest sweet baby Tank. We love you!!!

Teddy - Little Teddy was in hospice care at Ms Marie's Peaceful Surroundings in NC. Beautiful Marie takes in senior dogs, pigs, bulldogs and animals in need of a place to go for either the last days, months or years of their life or a place to go to mend before being adopted. Marie and her husband John are the best and will do whatever it takes to give our precious babies a chance at life and a chance to get the love they might not have known. It is with great sadness that we bring you little Teddy. He was a precious soul but on October 4, 2013, God needed Teddy and prepared him for his final journey. Marie has this to say: "Teddy's little heart finally gave out in his sleep during the night. We petted him and tucked him in his bed last night and was still in the same position this morning. Thankfully he went peacefully in his sleep. This is the hardest part about hospice care." Ms Marie's Peaceful Surroundings, Inc. You can also find her on Facebook.

Tiny Timmy Wilson-Touchton - May 4, 2009 to August 18, 2013. Hi everyone, it's me, Tiny Timmy!! On May 4th I came into this world. Oh yeah, I had a few problems, cleft palate and such but my heart was bigger than my little body. God had plans for me. I was on Facebook with my own two accounts! Tiny Tim's Blessings and Tiny Timmy Wilson-Touchton My family, Mom Linda and Dad Eddie and lots of friends on Facebook all miss me so much but I keep trying to show them that I'm really not gone! My physical being might not be there but my Spirit is!! I watch over my family every second, well, when I'm not busy playing, running, eating everything in site and oh, yeah, I'm helping others just like me when they cross the bridge. I'm so busy but never too busy for those who kept me safely tucked away in their hearts. I am with you ALL! I lick your cheek, I scamper across the floor and chase things and the best thing, I am whole again. I don't have any pain, I can eat, I can drink, I can be ME!! So please folks, don't shed tears of sorrow, make those happy tears!! Be happy for me! I am everywhere, meeting people who were only names on the computer screen. Oh and Mom, I can do anything I want now!! LOL And I sure like being a clown!! My Mom and Dad miss me terribly and I know that because I miss them too but, I am still sitting in Mom's lap, laying beside Dad and all the things you so cherished! I'm still doing them just in a different way. I would never totally leave those who gave up their life for me. I know I was special and I know I am STILL special. I saw where my family had announced my crossing the bridge and I wanted to share it with you. This is what my family said about me: "It is with a Broken heart I have to share the sad news tonight. Many of you have called Tiny Tim a little angel. Today our little angel got his wings. Although the medical team did an excellent job of repairing his cleft palate, his little heart could not handle the stress. He was surrounded by love when he left this world and I know that my daughter welcomed him into heaven with open arms. We took a risk on this surgery but it was a necessary one. After four years of fighting for his life, we had come to the point that it was his ONLY option. And YOUR love gave Tiny the chance!!! Our world is forever changed. Tiny Tim was the light in my darkest days and was a beacon of hope to many people out there. His physical body may not be here any longer but his legacy of faith, endurance and so much love is here for all of us to live by daily. In many ways, his mission had just begun as we will forever continue to use his page to spread the news about babies like him, the ones no one wants, because every life deserves a chance!!! His life was short but it was purposeful, please never forget that! Please know that we are incredibly grateful to all of you for the prayers and support you have given us. We will be returning home when our baby boy is back in our loving hands and we will return home to Florida with him. Tiny Tim was our child and we are devastated to lose him so we ask that you give us a chance to mourn. We will pick a date and we can all light a candle for Tiny Tim so he can see our love shining all the way to heaven. I can NEVER EVER thank you ALL for loving us and believing in our baby. We have found the most beautiful blessing ever, our Facebook family!! Tiny's Blessings will always assist in saving others and share LOVE to ALL!!!! Love, Momma and Daddy." RIP sweet Tiny Tim FOR EVERY LIFE THIS IS A PURPOSE, MIRACLE FRENCH BULLDOG WHO ASSISTS IN SAVING BABIES BORN W/ BIRTH DEFECTS. "EVERY LIFE DESERVES A CHANCE"! He supported: Stray Aid & Rescue,
Tiffany Elizabeth - Tiffany was adopted thru Puppyfind from Ohio. Her advertisement claimed she was a teacup chihuahua. Having contacted the owner and talked to her via phone, she assured me that the Chi was indeed a teacup size. I was so excited to have found a teacup Chi and immediately adopted her. She was flown from Ohio to Salt Lake City, Utah and then from Salt Lake City to us on the western slope in Colorado. When her flight arrived, I was at the airport waiting for her. They brought her little carrier in from the plane and after showing the proper paperwork, she was handed over to me. I sat in one of the chairs and opened the carrier. Inside was a full grown, regular Chihuahua!! NOT A TEACUP!!! I took her home and checked her against the picture online. It was the same dog. I tried calling the owner and there was no answer. After further research and days of trying to get answers, I found out that the picture was staged to make her appear teacup in size!! I paid a lot of money for a teacup and I was duped. My dear daughter said she would take Tiffany and my grand daughter Kaylee actually spoiled her! Tiffany was a sweet Chi and she crossed Rainbow Bridge in the arms of my Grand daughter at the Vets office. She had many good years with her family and they miss her terribly. She is now running and playing with the dogs on the other side until she is reunited with those who loved her. RIP Tiffany Elizabeth!

DAMASCUS, OR (KPTV) -
Someone dumped a cardboard box containing a critically injured dog in a rural Clackamas County field and then drove off. Deputies were called out to the 23000 block of Southeast Borges Road in Damascus at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. A homeowner reported seeing two people in an older U-Haul box truck, painted white, pull into their long gravel driveway and remove something from the back of the truck. The truck then drove away westbound on Borges Road. The homeowners walked out to the field and found an injured dog in the cardboard box, which was also filled with foam packing material. Deputies said the dog was a male Rottweiler, likely between 1 and 2 years old. The pup had suffered a broken jaw and broken left front leg.The box was left in a field and may not have been noticed if the homeowners hadn't seen the truck pull into their driveway, according to investigators. The dog was taken to the VCA Animal Hospital on Southeast 82nd Drive in Clackamas. The veterinarian examined the dog and determined its injuries were consistent with being hit by a car three to five days earlier. Due to the extent of its injuries and the delay in receiving treatment, the dog had to be euthanized. Deputies released photos of the dog when it was found in the box, as well as when it was receiving treatment at the veterinarian's office. Investigators would like to interview the people in the white U-Haul truck to learn more about what led to the Rottweiler's injuries and eventual death. Anyone with any information on this case is asked to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tip line at 503-723-4949 or online at http://web3.clackamas.us/contact/tip.jsp. Reference case #15-2547. Read more: http://www.kptv.com/story/27976427/critically-injured-dog-put-in-box-and-dumped-in-clackamas-co-field#ixzz3QWaLckUR
