Schneider, Erma - Erma was born November 16, 1936 and went to be with her Lord September 30, 1999. Her loving son says, "My Mother, who chose to keep me, and raise me as a single working mother, taught me to Love others and to Love God. She taught me to enjoy and live each day, and to look at the beauty that surrounds me. Thirty days before my Mother went home, God gave my Wife and I a Son. We had been married 13 years and trying for a child 9 years. The year before, we had decided, baring a Miracle from God, we were not able to have childeren. Prior to going into the hospital, my Mother looked at me, her eyes gleaming and Love pouring out from her heart, she said, 'I am so glad you're having a child so you will know and experience that love. My Wife, my Son, and I spent the last three weeks of my Mothers life, with her. She was able to hold, feed, Love and show off her first Grandson. I was at her side when she past from this life to her next. Today, as my son sits in my lap, as I type this, I understand the Love she talked to me about. The love she had for me. The Love I have for my son. Thank You Mother".

Sidner, Rex - Rex and his wife Helen attended the First United Methodist Church with my parents. They have a daughter Sherry and a son.

Simmons, Adelma Grenier - Adelma went to be with her Lord leaving behind her dear friend Karen. Karen says, "She was the sweetest friend and mentor a human could ever meet." She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Smartt, Kenneth F.- Kenneth was born June 17, 1957 and went to be with his Lord December 10, 1993. See a poem in his memory.

Snyder, Clarence H - Clarence was born May 22 and went to be with his Lord and wife, Ethel M Snyder (below) in January 1987 at the age of 73. His adopted daughter, Penny, says, "I miss my dad so much. I never got to say goodbye. He had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. He seemed to be getting better and was transfered to a regular room. When he woke up in the morning and got out of bed, his heart burst. It was said, the walls of his heart were tissue paper thin. My dad was a professional photographer. As I grew up, he was always nearby to take a photo of my Halloween costume, Christmas morning, graduation, my first doll, even a picture of me doing homework! My dad was the most warm and wonderful, loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather to Kenneth Robert Baker, William Patrick Baker and Stephanie Jo Baker, and great-grandfather to Ashly Nichole Baker, Kaylee Alexandra Wright, Shandon Miles Baker and Savannah. He is great-great-grandfather to Ellie Mae Baker" He is deeply missed by family, friends, and especially missed by his adopted daughter Penny Peterson. See dedication page at Mom and Dad

Snyder, Ethel M - Ethel was born June 27, 1917 and went to be with her Lord and husband, Clarence H Snyder (above) on December 1, 2000. Her adopted daughter, Penny, says, "I miss my mom so very much. It was just before Christmas and the holiday will never be the same. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I miss all the cards she used to send. She made them all herself. My mom was a professional artist. My mom 'left' before she got to see her second great-granddaughter, Kaylee Wright, born. She had so many friends who miss her, too. My mom was a very warm, wonderful, loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother to Kenneth Robert Baker, William Patrick Baker and Stephanie Jo Baker, and great-grandmother to Ashly Nichole Baker, Kaylee Alexandra Wright, Shandon Miles Baker and Savannah. She is a loving great-great-grandmother to Ellie Mae Baker. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren." See dedication page at Mom and Dad

Speakman, Sylvester Jr. - Sylvester was born December 17, 1920 and went to be with his Lord on January 14, 1973. He was a loving husband of Thelma and father of Mary and Pat. Walter says, "He taught us unconditional love and is missed and loved by family and friends".

Stowe, Reta - This sweet lady passed away so suddenly. Her friend, Susan, had this to say about her: "Today could not be any worse than what today has started. Woke up and found out a fellow female, Christian, biker, nurse, crazy fun loving friend was killed yesterday riding a motorcycle with her husband. It seems that the back tire went flat and he lost control of the bike. Both were wearing helmets, but she was killed instantly and he is in critical condition. Please friends make sure that your bike is always ready to ride. I am loosing friends faster than I want to."

Suplizio, Sam - Sam was extremely active in Grand Junction CO. The baseball field among many others was named after him because of all his work on JUCO each year.

Sutherland, Fannie - Fannie Sutherland Spano August 10, 1927 – July 28, 2010 Fannie Sutherland Spano passed away on July 28, 2010 after battling heart problems at La Villa Grande Care Center. Fannie was born August 10, 1927 to Joe and Irene Bokor in Newark, NJ. She spend her early years in New Jersey and enjoyed roller and ice skating and the 5¢ Saturday Matinee movies. She was able to skip two grades in her education and prior to her senior year the family moved to Tampa, FL where she graduated from high school as a young teenager in the midst of WWII. Fannie went to work at a Tampa shipyard as a bookkeeper and always commented on those "wild Russian sailors" during lend lease. She later worked for Otis Elevator, and for a pathologist when she met and married Air Force Veteran E.L. 'Buck' Sutherland in 1951. The moved to Grand Junction in the mid 50's and were together until 1975 when Buck preceded her in death. She worked for many years at Biggs/Kurts and they also started Rodeo Scoreboards. She had previously met Joe Spano at Biggs/Kurts and they were married in 1979, until he preceded her in death in 1992. Fannie enjoyed many diverse activities including Bridge Club, bowling, traveling the country with the scoreboard business and dancing at the Elks Club. She had an outgoing personality and a zest for life and greatly enjoyed sponsoring the Winston Rodeo Softball Team and was awarded a sponsor appreciation award by the Grand Junction Softball Association in 1984, she also sponsored many women's bowling teams. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Gertrude Fish and Jenny Camp and brother, Spencer Bokor, two husbands; Buck Sutherland and Joe Spano. Fannie is survived by one sister, Doris Morris of Gainesville, FL; sons, Steve Sutherland of Grand Junction, CO and Casey Sutherland of Phoenix, AZ, and step daughter, Linda Spano Jenkins (Gary) of Plano, TX; and granddaughter, Krista Jenkins Redmond (Patrick) of Shreveport, LA; and many wonderful friends and acquaintances and nieces and nephews. The family extends much thanks and appreciation to the staff at La Villa Grande and all the Hospice staff who contributed to her care and well being. Visitation will be held Monday, August 2, 2010 at Callahan-Edfast from 4 - 6:00 p.m. and services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast with burial to follow at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western CO, 2754 Compass Dr., Grand Junction, CO 81506.

Swanson, Adam C. - Adam was born January 8, 1982 and went to be with his Lord on December 14, 1999. Adam C. Swanson committed suicide. His dear friend and classmate says, "We live in Baltimore MD and he and I went to school together at Eastern Technical High School. Adam was the kind of guy that was care-free and easy going, laid back but still a party animal. The entire senior class at Eastern Tech will miss Adam and we have been wearing white and yellow ribbons to symbolize and celebrate Adam's life. These same ribbons will be worn on our graduation day in May of 2000, and a place in the bleachers will be reserved for him. I hope that this poem not only brings peace to Adam's friends and family, but to everyone that has ever lost a loved one." He is greatly missed by his family, friends and peers.

Swanson, Kenneth - Kenneth was born March 10, 1948 and went to be with his Lord Monday, November 06, 2000 at 10:55pm. His daughter says, "My father Kenneth Swanson died of a massive heart attack. He had 2 previous attacks leaving only 15% of his heart working. He left behind 8 children, ages 28, 27, 21, 15, 14, 12, and a set of twins which turned 9 today (November 7, 2000). When he had the heart attack, I was one of the people to actually watch him dieing, and I could do nothing about it. I just want to let him know that he was one of the greatest things in my life and even though I would wish that he was to die sooner, I really miss him now and I want him back. Kenneth Swanson R.I.P." He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. SPECIAL MESSAGE: I received the following message for Kenneth Swanson: "Kenneth Swanson, it has been so long since I heard from you, and am sorry that things ended the way it did. I was saddened to hear of your passing, I hope that you have found peace. Deborah".

Timpe, Patty - Patty was born November 11, 1943 and went to be with her Lord on May 15, 1999. Her dear friend Sheila says, "I LOST MY DEAREST FRIEND TO CANCER. I WILL BE HAPPY IF I CAN BE ONLY HALF THE WONDERFUL PERSON SHE WAS.....EVEN IN HER TIME OF SUFFERING SHE ALWAYS HAD THE NICEST THINGS TO SAY TO THOSE OF US SHE LOVED.....I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW WHEN I WALKED IN HER HOSPITAL ROOM WHILE SHE WAS HAVING HER CHEMOTHEREPY AND IN SO MUCH PAIN, SHE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID HOW PRETTY I LOOKED IN PURPLE, I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT THAT STAYS IN MY MEMORY....I REGRET NOT BEING ABLE TO BE WITH HER TO SAY GOODBYE.....BUT STILL CAN HEAR HER TELL ME TO GO ON MY TRIP, TO PACK UP MY TEARS AND LEAVE THAT BAG BEHIND.....AND SHE WOULD SEE ME WHEN I GOT BACK....I DEEPLY REGRET MISSING HER LAST DAYS....BUT HONESTLY BELIEVE SHE PASSED BY ME ON HER WAY TO HEAVEN, OR WHEREVER YOUR SPIRIT GOES.....I WAS ON THE JET ABOUT TEN MINUTES FROM LANDING WHEN PATTY PASSED AWAY.....I WAS SO OVERCOME WITH AN INDESCRIBABLE FEELING OF SADNESS, AND HAD NO IDEA WHY....I ALWAYS WILL BELIEVE IT WAS PATTY....ANYWAY I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW PATTY WAS AN ANGEL.....(TO THOSE OF US SHE BLESSED WITH HER FRIENDSHIP). She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Trump, Ashley Dawn - Ashley Dawn was born December 28, 1986 and went home to be with her Lord on May 18, 2006. Ashley Dawn Trump, 19 years of age was a lifetime resident of Montcalm, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Diana Joseph Trump and Curtis Earl Trump. She was a little sister to Kayla Renee Trump and Kevin Lacy Trump. She was a big sister to Adam Scott Trump and Caitlyn Trump. She was and will always be loved and missed very much! We will remember Ashley forever!!! Ashely was loved by all of her friends and family and will surely be missed by all!.

Tyler, Diane Lynette - Diane has gone home to be with her Lord, leaving behind family and friends who love her and greatly miss her. She was a dear cousin.
