ANDRE VASQUEZ
My name is Andre Vasquez and I grew up in the small agricultural town of
Fillmore, (aka Filtros) Califas. I graduated from UCSB with the class of
1998. I was involved in La Voz, La Escuelita (co-chair), and an officer of
El Congreso (outreach, co-chair, then chair). I am currently working on my
Masters in Counseling Education at San Diego State University and ultimately
plan on taking over the educational system as we know it (ha ha). Pero en
serio, my most memorable time at UCSB was during the Hunger Strike in 1994
when I saw Raza come together and really show their potential. I look
forward to bridging the gap between past and present
Congresistas/activistas.
