1. Thomas Mullen b. ca 1739 Virginia - d. 4 March 1832 Kentucky md Elizabeth Garnett. Thomas was a Captain in the New Kent County, Virginia militia during the Revolutionary War. Thomas and Elizabeth had the following known children:

1. Thomas Mullin is listed in the 1783, 1784, 1785, 1786, 1787, 1788, 1789, 1790, 1781, 1792, 1793, 1794, and 1795 Bedford County, Virginia tax lists. His son John Mullins is listed in the 1793, 1794, 1796, 1797, 1798, 1800, 1801, 1802, and 1803 Bedford County, Virginia tax lists. Bedford County was formed in 1753 from portions of Albemarle County and Lunenburg County. Thomas had the following known children:

1. Anthony Mullins b. ca 1764 Virginia - d. 3 Nov. 1836 Lincoln County, Tennessee (will proven 1836 Lincoln County, Tennessee) md Sarah (maiden name unknown). Anthony is in the 1820 and 1830 Lincoln County, Tennessee censuses. He was a Continental Line soldier in Virginia. He applied for a pension 31 Jan. 1829 Lincoln County, Tennessee with a wife and 8 children at home (4 sons and 4 daughters) with oldest as son aged 19, soldier had 18 children, widow applied 15 Sept. 1854 Lincoln County, Tennessee, aged 74, soldier and widow had married in Nov. 1808, widow applied for a Bounty Land Warrant 14 April 1855. Anthony and Sarah had the following children:
