Newfie Sayings

In alot of places in Newfoundland, there are many dialects.   In some parts of the island, some people actually leaves the H's out where there are supposed to be and adds an H when a word begins with a vowel.  Examples are half = 'alf  and eight = h'eight.   Newfoundland dialects are derived from many parts of Western Europe, especially from  Ireland and England.  Not that Newfoundlanders are stupid in the English language, just unique, like our culture.
