Note: Use adult supervision when doing this project for younger children.

Materials:

Directions:

Cut or punch small stars or holes through the paper. Cut both ends from the juice can. Wrap the paper with your stars around one end of the can, securing it with tape or a rubber band. Insert the flashlight into the open end of the can. Turn out the lights. Turn on the flashlight and shine it toward the ceiling or wall. Angling the flashlight within the can will decrease distortion. Older children may want to research real constellations and recreate them on the paper.
