What Is A Gorilla?
Gorillas are the largest, rarest and most powerful species of ape in the world. A male gorilla may attain a height of 1.7 meters and can weigh up to 200 kilograms, in natural surroundings. It is a few centimeters taller and much fatter when it is held in captivity. A female can reach a height of 1.25 meters and can be about 30 centimeters shorter and half the weight of an average male gorilla. Gorilla skin is black and the hair on a gorilla is coarse and near-black which grows gray on the back of old males. There are three types of gorilla: the Western Lowland Gorilla, the Eastern Lowland Gorilla and the Mountain Gorilla.
