Honda CRX VTEC with Lamborghini styled doors

Lamborghini styled doors picture 1 Nopi nationals picture 1
This car is National show winner at the popular NOPI Nationals (1998, see pictures above and below), while also appearing in many national and worldwide magazines. It'll also be the hit of your town, the minute you pull up to your local car show! Over $50,000 has been invested in this car through parts and labor, a testament to the quality of craftsmanship on the custom work, and the completeness of every project taken on.

Although there are 107,XXX vehicle miles on the car, you'd never expect it, given the painstaking attention to detail on this beautiful show car. You can practically eat off any surface on the car, including the underbody. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on the car, the result of spending most of it's days in the South. The one off Lamborghini style door mechanisms were have been fabricated by a former Vector car engineer (for those of you who don't know, Vectors came with Lambo-style doors from the factory.) the doors are very sturdy and work extremely well, as they should, considering the $10,000 price tag for parts and labor. The doors have a airpump in the car that will push the doors out for three inches so they would clear the body and then swing up.  For more information about the Vector cars, look at: http://drive.to/vector (or vector).   These doors were custum made, there isn't a special kit available!

Once inside, your attention turns to the diamond-plated steel flooring and $1,500 a piece Carbon-Kevlar MOMO seats. Your surrounded by a total of five white-faced gauge, along with a turbo timer and boost controller in the custom molded glove compartment housing. This car is more than just show...it's go! Under the carbon fiber hood rests it's motivational force: a 1.7 DOHC Vtec out of a 93 Acura Integra GS-R. A gigantic turbo is aided by two intercoolers (one air to air, one air to ice water) to power the car to the tune of 225hp to the wheels, while under a measly 6 lbs of boost. Exhuast is routed out the back via 3" piping and APEX'i N1 muffler. This setup is fresh out of the box, and has not been properly tuned yet, just good enough to dyno under 6 lbs of boost.

There are 100 or so miles on the car, since then have been dyno time, and a couple, short joy rides on nice, sunny days. if you have ever built a motor before, you also realize that you always have a few bugs to work out after completing the project. The bugs, I've noticed, are few and far between, but still worth mentioning. There is some oil leaking from the valve cover gasket, which is simple to replace. There is also a little oil seeping from the head gasket. But since the gasket is steel, it can't ever blow out. The exterior, while super clean, remains mainly stock, take away the 18" chrome MAS MGR wheels.

This car has been sold on www.ebay.com on February 2000 for $15,000.  I do not know the owner.  The doors were custom made, there isn't a special kit available!   Do not e-mail me for more information, because I do not more than there is written on this page.
