At 26 years of age Unitz became the mother of Mary Jane Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 1866. At 31 years of age Unitz became the mother of Alford Maggard 1871. At 35 years of age Unitz became the mother of Morrell Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 5 May 1876.

At 17 years of age Francis became the father of Holly Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 1864. At 18 years of age Francis became the father of Isaac Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 1865. At 19 years of age Francis became the father of Mary Jane Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 1866. At 24 years of age Francis became the father of Alford Maggard 1871. At 28 years of age Francis became the father of Morrell Maggard in Eolia, Letcher County, Ky, 5 May 1876.
