BAL Doug Mirabelli
Catcher | Baltimore Orioles

Hitting
Mirabelli quickly learned that he could drive the ball out the opposite way. That knowledge has made him a better hitter because he now uses the entire field. Mirabelli chases high fastballs and offspeed pitches tailing away, striking out his share of times. I tell you, I've seen Mirabelli hit some majestic home runs. They're a thing of beauty. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He uses the entire field and has gap power.

Baserunning & Defense
Mirabelli isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.
