Bob Stinson
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Stinson has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Stinson when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to right-center.
Baserunning & Defense He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. Minor league scouts have accused Stinson of being a liability in the field. Bob's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
