Our Great Dane Clara

This is a website about our girl, Clara. She brings so much joy into our lives and hearts and we (that's me and
my husband) cannot imagine the world without her.

Clara was born on December 8, 2002. It is an interesting coincidence, because me and my husband Mike were married the
day before.
We got her when she was 8 weeks old. A tiny bundle of love. Well, she wasn't that tiny. She changed our lives and from
the day one, she became a very important member of our little family.

Clara is now 8 months old. She is still growing like a weed. Right now she weighs 85 pounds and is 30.5 inches
tall. She was spayed 2 weeks ago.
Her favorite activity is chewing on Daddy's shoes, sleeping and going to a local dog park, where she's a little star
with lots of good canine friends.
Update: Clara is 9,5 months old and weighs almost 100 pounds. She has grown an inch in last
two months, so she is now 31.5 inches tall at the shoulder.
Update: Clara is over 14 months old now. Time flies by pretty quickly.
She has grown an inch and is 32.5 inches tall.

A month ago I changed Clara's diet from kibble to raw food (aka BARF). She was doing quite well on commercial dry food,
but I was constantly worrying about her bloating as Great Dane are at high risk.
After reading many books, surfing the internet and joining a few online groups, I decided that raw diet would be
the best for Clara.
