Welcome to my home page, this site is dedicated to cannabis education, and the responsible, regulated, re-legalization of the cannabis plant, for medicinal, industrial, and recreational use.

We, the people of the United states have been flat out lied to by our government for decades about the effects and uses of the cannabis plant. The current laws have marijuana classified as a schedule I drug, which defines the substance as having a HIGH potential for abuse, NO currently accepted medical use in the United States, AND a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision. To contrast, over 90 published reports and studies have shown marijuana is less addictive than many substances that free adults can buy at any grocery store, that it has many valid medical uses, and that it is much safer when ingested by means other than smoking than the majority of perscription drugs that are currently prescribed for such things as nausea, and pain relief.
Anyone who takes the time to do a little research will find this information readily available from a number of different sources. Yet our government continues to tell us that it keeps marijuana from suffering people for our benefit, and that of our children. Because politicians do not want to be seen as "soft on drugs", we have a society where people who use certain substances are punished severly, yet we look the other way while some of the most addictive and highly damaging substances are sold on every corner. Alcohol alone has been the direct cause of far more deaths in this country than the combined deaths caused by all of the controlled substances. And nicotine is so addictive and damaging that the tobacco industry is shelling out money hand over fist becaue they lost a law suit. How can we hope to keep the children of our nation off of drugs, when our attempts at "educating" them involves lies, and double standards?
The prison, and law enforcement industries, are two of the fastest growing industries in our nation. The government spends BILLIONS of our tax dollars every year in a war on drugs that prohibition should have taught them, can NOT be won. And it has become a war, gone are the days of police that are taught to "protect and serve". Now we have law enforcement agencies that more closely resemble the military, even to the point that our police are now being equipped with military grade FULLY automatic weapons. Police who daily trample the constitution of this great nation. The drug user is not the problem, the drug "user" can lead a productive life and not harm anyone with their actions. Drug abuse is a problem, but more importantly it is a symptom of larger problems, as long as or tax dollars are being spent punishing drug users, and abusers, rather than trying to treat the CAUSES of drug abuse it is wasted money.
The sad part is, that we have noone to blame for the current state of affairs, except ourselves, for believing the things we are told without verifying the validity of the information. We are becoming a nation of people that is content to believe whatever the government, and media choose to tell us. The more I research, the more I am finding that our government is doing things I was brought up to believe, were only done by OTHER countries. I love my country, but I hate some of the things our government does, we need to get back to having our governemnt work for us.
Remember, knoweledge is power.
If you feel as I do that the war on drugs is driving our country into financial and moral bankruptcy, and you want to do something about it, first visit the links below, then VOTE. Unless we ALL stand together, and help educate our fellow americans on this issue the government will continue to spew propaganda and we will get nowhere.
If you do not agree with me, I beg you to keep an open mind, and do some research of your own, starting with the Institue of Medicine's1999 report, which is one of the most recent major studies done on the therapeutic benefits, and side effects of marijuana. A report which was ordered by head of the ONDCP General Barry McCaffry himself. Another good starting point would be the Schaffer Library of Drug Policy.
