IN THE YEARS TO FOLLOW...E.D.F.'s PANDORA marked
sucess after sucess. By 2233, She had learned more about the Milky-way Galaxy than we had ever imagined. The E.D.F. was enjoying
support from the politicians, and the population in genneral. The ship-yards were again active as A new program was allowed.
Admiral Lord had become one of the most popular men among the brass...but he wasn't done. He decided it was time to end
the Yamato argument...and in the fall of 2234, he and his engineers, drew up plans for a new battleship.
Originally called the 'MUSASHI' after the YAMATO'S
sister, It was decided that wasn't fitting...The new ship was evolving to look unlike YAMATO...Add to this, Lord's feelings
about omins...
The new design was re-named, THUNDER-CHILD...a cross between YAMATO, ANDROMIDA and ARAZONA class's...But,
with a bit more punch. The new ship would house a more powerful Wave-Motion cannon then had previously been designed. This
cannon used twice the energy, and could deliver a high-intensity, focused blast at double the range. This was achieved by
out-fitting a second energy generator behind the cannon. The new weapon was deamed the Ultra-Wave gun. The design was over-welmingly
approved by the board in 2234, and entered service two years later...At the start of a new war.
