THE XJCD Version 3.0 Has Now Been Released.

Members Of the XJ Owners list have donated their time, blood, sweat and sleep

to produce a CD of "Everything XJ".

Any funds left over after distribution costs are put back into the XJ-Owners community.

Past projects include the XJ World Relay and the XJ Shim Pool.

The all-new 2 CD Version 3 set contains over 1 gigabyte of information, including:

*The famous XJ model id code chart that ID's your bike by model code, serial number

Those familiar with this series will notice some major changes. While the CD

is still HTML menu driven, and organization is similar, all parts diagrams and

manuals have been converted to PDF format to allow quick scrolling through

the diagrams while maintaining zoom functions. Many manuals and drawings

have been re-scanned for better clarity where we found originals in better

condition than those used for earlier versions.

The display is still kept as simple as possible without fancy dancing Java

script graphics to speed access on slower machines and ensure

cross-platform compatibility.

Win9x/NT/ME/XP, Mac, Linux/Unix compatibility has also been tested.

That said, this version will probably run slowly on older computers with limited

memory because some of the PDF files are pretty big. If you have sufficient

space on your hard drive, you can speed access by creating a directory for

your hard drive.
