WHO ARE YOU?

The poor in spirit are happy because they have relinquished their need to impress others. They know their significance does not come from what they accomplish, but from the fact that they are children of God!

Those who mourn does not refer to those who have lost a loved one, but rather those who are truly sorry for their past and have given themselves completely to their Lord.

The meek are not those who are weaklings, but rather are like lambs who have no defense. Instead, they totally depend upon their Shepherd for protection.

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are happy because they have discovered that Jesus alone is righteous, and that He has come to dwell inside them. He is their righteousness. They don't have to try to keep a set of rules to be loved by God; they simply enjoy their fellowship with the in dwelling Christ.

Those who are merciful are happy because they have discovered how much joy there is in being compassionate and sympathetic to others.

Those who are pure of heart are happy because they don't carry around a lot of guilt from impure thoughts and deeds.

Those who make peace are happy because they bring the Prince of Peace to those who are miserable.

Those who are persecuted, insulted and falsely accused are happy because each event assures them they are identified by unbelievers as true followers of Christ.
