Christian Debatorial Works
Welcome to the Christian Debatorial Works web-page!
My apologies to those who have been trying to find this site for the past couple of weeks. As of December 11, 2006, the site is back up and running, with a new internet address. Please adjust your bookmarks accordingly.
You will find this to be a comprehensive site devoted to exploring various issues related to modern Christian living.
All information will be presented in a non-denominational format, and no attempt will be made to overly promote any individual congregational viewpoint, other than that Jesus is Lord, and the Bible contains the record of Jesus Christ, the Word of God.
Christianity is not about debating. In its purest and most provocative form, Christianity is about loving one another, and in so doing, providing the greatest service for the Lord.
That being said, I would have need to explain my desire to compile a work that is apparently based upon debate. Although a large part of this composition is designed to better equip the Christian with regards to certain key study areas, my overall desire is to provide a basis for further apologetic thought, and to remind many of us that one does not need ones brain at rest in order to call oneself a Christian in todays rather scientific world.
Christianity can indeed, make sense. Not only in a religious frame of mind, but in a logical and rational one as well.
With these considerations in mind, some of this site is designed to provide the Christian with humble arguments to stimulate our minds to seriously question the things we are told to believe. My philosophy is to examine all the facts, and then to believe what truly makes the most sense, irrespective of where one sits for an hour every Sunday morning.
The remainder of the site is devoted to providing insight into some of the deeper theological disagreements present in the Christian world today. I provided this information for two reasons: (1) To set scriptural paths in front of new believers who may be trying to sort out various points of view, while coming to articles of truth that seem the most reasonable to them, and (2) To cause some of the older, more certain believers to look deeper into Gods' Word, asking guidance from the Spirit, while maintaining the attitude of student of the Bible.
With these thoughts in mind, I will encourage you now to consider everything herein under the greater light of Scripture, which is always our ultimate source of truth, as we conclude this prologue and begin the argument.
