Prologue...A New Life

            Ranma lay on the roof of the Tendo dojo thinking hard.  It had been a very rough couple of years for him, and that day just takes the cake.  Not only did the entire Nerima wrecking crew attack him TWICE, including Taro, Happosai, and Cologne, but he also had to deal with THREE new challengers, wanting to prove their schools are the best (one was Martial Arts Chicken Dancing of all things), three new fiancées showing up trying to become his wife (and his mother approving, stating, MY SON IS SO MANLY!!!), and two MORE fiancées showing up wanting to become her HUSBUND.

            "I hate my life."  These words were whispered so softly that no mortal, even he himself, could hear it.  But somebody did hear it, and decided that now was the time for her to act.  Urd, in all her glory, appeared invisible to all senses, even Ranma's, right over him.

            "If you could have one wish, but only one wish, what would you wish for?" This was whispered softly into Ranma's ear, but he just thought that he was asking it of himself.

            "I wish that I had a chance to start all over in life, but with all my memories, so I wouldn't make the same mistakes."  This was his answer to himself, but he would never admit it aloud, but still Urd heard it.

            "Wish Granted."  Urd says, and then disappears along with Ranma.

(Meanwhile, in a forest somewhere in the multi-verse)

            "Where the HELL am I NOW!!!!  RANMA, this is ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!"

            All of the sudden he stops, sensing something, and turns around, luckily not getting lost while turning.  What he sees is a beautiful blonde woman with four red marks on her face.

            "Hello, Ryoga.  My name is Mara, and Im here to grant you a wish." Mara smirks evilly.

            Ryoga, not noticing the smirk, just says, "Yeah right.  Ranma's the one who always gets lucky.  HE'S the one with a good life.  This is probably just another plot by him to DESTROY MY HAPPINESS.  I just wish that I could live his life, then my life would be SO much easier."

            Mara's smirk turns up to an epic proportion of evil.  "Wish granted."

            Next thing you know, Ryoga disappears.

Authors note:  I just thought of this while I was getting out of bed this morning, it should be interesting, if nothing else, to see how it turns out.
