PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTION IS SEEKING ACCOUNTING AND HELP DESK

PROFESSIONALS

Our client is a leading development finance institution recognized for providing billions of dollars in loans to developing countries to bring them onto a path of stable, sustainable and equitable growth. It operates a network of 150 offices globally to deliver the organization’s programs in different countries.

This prestigious organization is seeking to establish their only global processing center in Chennai for which they wish to identify highly qualified accountants along with professionals trained in providing worldwide service-desk support to internal clients responsible for resource management and financial accounting transactions.

Accounting Assistants (Code -A1)

The Accounting Assistants will be primarily responsible for executing a variety of transaction service functions like processing short-term payables to employees and external vendors, maintaining quality control in vendor payments, validating payroll transactions, processing expense travel statements, account reconciliation and cash receipts application, etc.

§ Incumbents must have an Graduate degree in Commerce from reputable institution with 5 years relevant experience preferably with a multinational organization

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word and Power Point) is essential.

 

Accounting Analysts (Code -A2)

The Accounting Analysts perform first level analysis of expenses and trust funds. They undertake statistical analysis of reimbursement and receivable transactions; provide technical advice to country offices on resolution of complex accounting issues; conduct post audit of travel costs statements and execute payroll programs etc. They review quality and accuracy of work performed by Accounting Assistants in the Processing Center and Country Offices.

§ The incumbent should have a graduate degree in business administration or commerce preferably a CA, with 7 years relevant experience with a multinational organization.

§ Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint presentation software is essential.

§ The incumbent should have an in-depth, understanding of accounting systems, preferably SAP FI modules.

§ Set up and maintain reference data for trust funds.

§ Perform general ledger reconciliations and account monitoring functions.

 

Accounting Officers/Team Leaders (Code-A3)

Team leaders would primarily be leading the technical accounting staff responsible for functional areas (trust funds, accounts payable, payroll, etc.) and review functions. Reporting to the Chief Resident Accountant of the processing center they would also be accountable for daily supervision of their respective transaction processing operations in consultation with their counterpart section chief in the U.S.

§ The incumbent should necessarily be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience of which five years should be in a supervisory capacity. Good experience in project management with a multinational organization is desirable.

§ Advanced degree in Finance and Accounting, preferably an MBA / M.Com / MFC is desirable.

§ Strong understanding of accounting principles ,financial reporting operations and auditing is essential.

§ Should have working knowledge of accounting systems (SAP) and/or extensive experience with automated accounting systems of similar levels of complexity and high levels of integration.

 

Service Desk Professionals (Code-A4)

Service Desk Officer

The Service Desk Officer will be the lead expert in service desk management tools and operations, responsible for delivery of high quality support to internal clients undertaking financial transaction processes. Reporting to the chief resident accountant of the processing center and the support services manager at Headquarters, s/he would also be accountable for daily supervision of the service desk team.

§ The incumbent should have a BS/BA degree and minimum 9 - 12 years of relevant experience, of which 5 years should be in a supervisory capacity.

§ Advanced degree, preferably MBA/M. Com/MFC, desirable.

§ Solid experience with accounting/integrated business process systems essential.

§ Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting operations required.

§ Excellent English written and oral communications skills essential.

 

Service Desk Analysts

Service Desk Analysts will provide assistance to globally distributed internal clients who undertake financial transaction processes. This support includes advice on the use of systems, explanation of policy and procedure, and interpretation of data. Analysts are also responsible for developing and maintaining documentation of specific business processes.

§ The incumbent should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce/Accounting/Business Management, and 4 - 7 years of relevant experience.

§ 2 - 3 years' experience with automated accounting systems, preferably SAP or PeopleSoft, desirable.

§ Solid familiarity with business processes and associated financial information desirable.

§ Excellent English written and oral communications skills essential.

§ Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills with a strong clientfocus required.
