               SME Specialist Manager

H/She will serve as the primary SME advocate, intervening with business organizations, designing solutions to SME business problems, and managing SME products development and delivery.  The SME Specialist Manager will work with staff of the Project’s local offices to identify specific interventions that will bring about tangible and realizable benefits to the enterprises; examine the entire value-chain for each selected industry and design solutions to industry value-chain blockages. Successful candidate will oversee the Project’s technical departments (e.g. Business Association, Business Services Providers, and Financial Services Providers) and will be responsible for reporting on division work plan tasks.  Personal experience managing business operations preferred; diverse industry experience a plus.

Markets/Enterprise Outreach Specialist & Markets Division Manager

Development of the Georgian enterprises is key to stimulating the local economy.  Part of the Project’s strategy is to work with enterprises of defined industry sectors found within identified geographical areas in the Republic of Georgia.  The Markets Specialist/Markets Division Manager will have personal experience managing a business’s marketing and sales operations.  H/She will identify, track and analyze the markets’ needs - by industry - for Project support services and report on economic indicators in the selected regions.  Successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in creating research tools/engines and ultimately conducting market research; and be able to evaluate viability of domestic & export markets for selected industries.  H/She will forge strong relationships with core markets, thereby providing a constant stream of customers for the business service providers.  Diverse industry experience a plus.  Responsible for managing and reporting on division work plan tasks as well as supervising divisional staff and public education campaigns. 

 

 

Enterprise Management Specialists

 

1. Construction Materials (Stone) Management

2. Winery Management

The successful candidate will preferably have at least ten (10) years of experience personally managing a business operation and in personally using the business tools and business systems associated with his/her respective industry (as listed above).  The assignment will be for approximately 12 weeks, in 3-4 week segments spaced to fit the industry’s business cycle.  H/She will meet with participating business owner-managers as a group to discuss personal experiences in managing a business; discuss successes, failures, and key learnings; and discuss core management tools used.  H/She will also visit each participating business, evaluate the business development/viability level, management skills levels, production technical skills levels, production equipment viability, and identify company-specific problems (internal to the company).  The successful candidate will provide solutions for i) core business systems and ii) solutions to common problems in his/her respective industry. In addition, h/she will brief local trainers and consultants in these ‘best practices’ and management tools to continue the monitoring process after expatriate’s departure from project.

 

 

Financial Institution Marketing Specialist

Successful candidate will work closely with the Georgian Stock Exchange in an effort to market its existence and to increase enterprise/customer participation as well as public awareness in the securities market.  H/She will have at least ten (10) years of demonstrated work experience with capital market institutions and a background in developing appropriate and successful marketing strategies.

 

Enterprise Restructuring/Turnaround Specialist

The Restructuring Specialist will analyze finances of selected enterprises, bringing forth a recommendation for recovery strategy (e.g. debt for equity).  H/She will outline steps and supervise the transformation of the enterprise(s) eventually leading up to an Initial Public Offering.
