Save the Children (SC UK) is a leading UK-based international NGO working to create a better world for children. We work in over 65 countries around the world, helping in the world's most impoverished communities.

The India programme of SC UK works in four zones from offices in Calcutta, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Leh, with a central office in Delhi. We are embarking a new four-year programme with focus on Education, Child Labour, HIV/AIDS, Violence against Girls and Food Security. We are looking for experienced managers to joint us in developing this programme.

Head of the Programme Support Unit :
You will report to the Programme Director and lead a newly formed team based in the Central Office in Delhi, which will support the research, advocacy and information needs of programmes in each zone. You will also develop country-wide monitoring of the policy environment relevant to children's rights, ensuring effective coordination of our institutional learning and programme development. As a member of the country management team, you will lead on areas of strategic planning, implementation and coordination.

This is a challenging new post and you will have a proven track record of experience of team building and technical excellence in development work. You will have obtained this through a combination of basic and higher university degrees in social science or related discipline, about ten years experience of development work, with substantial team management experience. You will have excellent communication skills in English language.

Zonal Directors :
(Jaipur and Hyderabad)
You will report the Programme Director and provide leadership for the Zonal Programme in its development and implementation, working with government and civil society in the realization of children's rights. You will manage a team, based in the zonal office, representing SC UK to a wide audience. As a member of the country management team, you will lead on ares of strategic planning and implementation, seeing the context and added-value of the zonal programme in the "bigger picture", proactively working with colleagues to strengthen cohesion across the whole programme.

You will have a proven track record of experience of team building and technical excellence in development work, demonstrating the effective application of a strategic vision to field opportunities. You will have obtained this through a combination of basis and higher university degrees in social science or related discipline, about ten years experience of development work, with substantial team management experience. You will have excellent communication skills in English language.

Manager of Human Resource Development and Administration :
You will be responsible for human resources development, personnel and office support administration, based in the Central Office in Delhi. As a member of the country management team, you will work closely with other senior managers in achieving SC UK's commitment to a strategic approach to staff development across the whole country programme. You will also manage a team responsible for ensuring effective support systems, including IT are in place.

This is a key new post in an organisation undergoing change. You will have proven experience in personnel management and the development of HRD strategies, you will have contributed effectively to successful change and will have shown strong interpersonal skills. You will have worked for about seven years in HR and administrative work, including in a managerial capacity, as well as having received a relevant combination of basic and higher university degrees.

Terms and Conditions :
SC UK offers a competitive compensation package. The contract will be for three years and would start as soon as the selected candidate is available.
