PLAN INTERNATIONAL India requires for its Zonal Office at Lucknow, the following staff :

Zonal manager (Ref Code : ZM/LKW/HR/0500)

Job Summary : You will functionally provide leadership and direction to the zonal team. As a team leader you will be responsible for all PLAN programme interventions in the states of Bihar & UttarPradesh. You will be required to conceptualize programmatic issues affecting marginalised children, their families and communities. Critical attributes of the position also includes planning, programming, monitoring and evaluation skills, the ability to work with complex budgets, outsanding interpersonal skills and the gusto for creativity and innovation.

Experience : A minimum of 10 years of INGO/NGO experience, with an equitable mix of field and strategic management experience. Excellent computer skills (Windows environment). A master degree in a development related field is necessary. Fluency in English and Hindi. The job would entail the incumbent to conduct skill based training on PLAN systems / modules independently. Candidate must be prepared for extensive travel and long hours.

Zonal Officers
The zonal team will be bolstered by zonal officers in the following functional areas : Programme, Sponsorship, Finance Information Systems & Technology (IS&T).

Programme Officer (Ref code PO/LKW/HR/0500)
The Programme Officer would be responsible for all PLAN partnerships in the zone to implement quality programs and projects which are in line with the Country Strategic Plan, S/he would also ensure that sponsored families actively participate in and benefit from PLAN / Partner's programmes and have tangible input into programme design and plans. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a development field; a Master's degree in Social Sciences will be preferred.

Sponsorship Officer (Ref code : SO/LKW/HR/0500)
The role of the Sponsorship Officer is aligned to maintaining and updating all sponsorship related information in the zone. Furthermore S/he will promote qualitative sponsorship communications and help in building capacities of sponsorship field staff through training and on-site support. S/he would also champion children's initiatives in the zone and help achieve best-in-class accountability standards in delivering cost effective sponsorship services. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a development field; a Master degree in Social Sciences will be preferred.

Finance Officer (Ref. code : FO/LKW/HR/0500)
Core responsibilities of the Finance Officer is includes maintaining PLAN accounting & finance compliance's in all partner field offices. S/he will be responsible for matters related to internal audits, zonal budgets, project cost controls, fund requests, monthly financial statements and training to field staff on PLAN financial systems and procedures. The ideal candidate should have a sound accounting background, preferably a CA/ICWA or Master's degree in Commerce / Finance.

IS&T Officer (Ref code : IT/LKW/HR/0500)
The job involves training and support services to field offices and staff in hardware / software issues including maintenance of IT systems in the zone. S/he will ensure cost effective solutions to all problems in the above field including data communications, besides co-ordinating with the country IS&T function. The potential incumbent should possess Graduate degree in Computer Applications / Science. Post Graduate degree / diploma in Computer software applications preferred. Candidate also must demonstrate adequate knowledge of Novel Netware, SQL, Crystal Reports and Microsoft Products. Working knowledge of cc:mail, Internet and Intranet systems an added advantage.

Office Assistant (Ref code : OA/LKW/HR/0500)
A Graduate with excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, good knowledge of Windows 98 and proficiency in MS Office with hands-on keyboard skills (35 wpm speed). Should be able to handle both physical and electronic filing tasks.
