Shall I say much? Just one of my favorites. It even includes a firewall in which you make the controls.
Well, now this is nice to have. What this is, is 8 different versions of Windows XP all wrapped up into 1 little CD. This may also have extra tools, so browse the CD to find them.
Windows XP Media Center Edition
You've heard about this. Made for manufacturers such as HP. These multimedia computers have XP Media Center in them. This is not to be confused with XP Plus Media Center Edition. You can build your own multimedia pc and install Media Center Edition, provided that you add the right hardware. Hardware like a TV Tuner, a Infrared remote censor, etc. The only thing you may have to do is change the remote software. I never bothered with that part, so you're on your own there.
Windows XP Longhorn
Yes it's out, but not even at a beta stage, yet. The Alpha stage of versions 4008 and the newer 4015. There are some problems with a clean install on 4015, but works ok with upgrading. Remember folks, these are test versions, so you'll have to expect some problems. Most people find driver problems, this can be a fix if you add the driver files to the LH before you burn a CD.
Formerly known as Windows Server .Net. It's out, and you can get your copy FREE from Microsoft's web site. This has a 180 trial to it, and you have to fill in some info on their site, then your email. Fill in any BS Info you want on that site, but make sure you fill in a working email. They'll send you the Key and the Link to DL the proggy. There's a nice place listed to get one that has no time limit ;-).
We already know about Windows 98, This is just another version, with the plus built in. The thing is, you have to install Win98 and then browse the CD to install the plus.
Hey look...a LINUX OS !! This is very nice. You can boot right up from the CD, with no need to install the OS. I even use it on a system with WinXP Pro already installed on the Hard Drive. It has the basic desktop look that we're all so familiar with in Windows, but no Internet Explorer. It has Netscape Navigator instead (considering it's not Microsoft, it shouldn't have IE, but you can install IE if you choose to.)
