JEFFREY DAHMER

Jeffrey Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer was born on 21st May 1960. He was arrested by chance on 22nd July 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

Two police officers were flagged down by a 32-year-old man, Tracy Edwards. He had a handcuff dangling from his wrist. Edwards claimed 'some freak' with whom he had been drinking with had put the handcuff on him. Edwards asked the police to remove the handcuff but none of the officers keys fitted the lock. They decided to take Edwards back to Dahmers apartment to retrieve the correct key.

Dahmer was helpful at first until an officer went to go into the bedroom, he became agitated and was told by the police officer to back off. In the room the officer found a knife under the bed and Polaroid photographs in the chest of drawers. These photos were of naked men, but on closer inspection, the officer saw that there were also photos of severed heads, torsos and dismembered limbs. The officer left the room and instantly handcuffed Dahmer. Within minutes detectives from The Criminal Investigation Bureau were swarming over the apartment.

In the fridge/freezer, the severed head of a black man and 3 plastic bags were found. Two of the bags contained hearts and the third contained some portion of muscle.

In the freestanding freezer, 3 human heads, a human torso and a bag containing flesh and internal organs were found.

In the hallway cupboard the detectives found 2 bleached skulls, various chemicals and a large kettle containing 2 human hands, a penis and testicles and flesh with pubic hair attached.

In the top drawer of the metal filing cabinet that was kept next to Dahmers bed they found 3 human skulls that had been painted and in the bottom drawer they found a complete human skeleton, the dried remains of a human scalp and a second set of genitals that were also dried and mummified.

Two skulls were found in a box on the floor.

A large, blue plastic drum was in Dahmers living room containing three human torsos in various stages of dismemberment and decomposition.
