This is the first of a series of holiday bears. For this tutorial you will load the selection file flood fill with brown then deselect, select all, float. Then apply cutout, deselect add new layer. The pumpkins used here are from one of Cristinas tutorials

Supplies you will need are Paintshop Pro, the bunny fur, pumpkin and  my selection files. I have also provided the color chart to make it easier than copying and pasting the hex codes into psp. Just right click on the image select copy then go to psp and right click, paste in the work area.

Right click me and save to your harddrive.

Right click, copy, then past into PSP.

Step 1     Okay lets begin by opening a transparent canvas sized 500 x 500 pixels. Add a new layer, load in hb-body1 flood fill with the fur tile, select none, select all, float, now apply the cutout with the following settings. Use the first color on the color chart for the color choice.

Not for the taking

Deselect add new layer.

Step 2    Add a new layer, load hb-body2 repeat step 1

Step 3     Add a new layer, load hb-ears1 repeat step 1 except change blur from 50 to 20.

Step 4      Add a new layer, load hb-inside-ears flood fill with color 5 on the color chart, Deselect.

Step 5     Add a new layer, load hb-head repeat step 1, when you get to the cutout set blur to 50 again deselect.

Step 6     Add a new layer load hb-muzzle repeat step 1 except change blur to 20 again, deselect.

Step 7     Add a new layer load hb-nose, flood fill with the first color on the color chart, apply an inner bevel with the round preset. Deselect.

Step 8     Add a new layer load hb-eyes, flood fill with the dark brown you just used on the nose. Apply the inner bevel with the round preset.

Step 9     Add a new layer load hb-mouth flood fill with the last brown on the color chart, deselect.

Step 10     Add a new layer open the pumpkin included in the zip I gave you and past it as a new layer in front of the bear. Once the arms and legs are done you can play with the placement of the pumpkin more.

Step 11     Add a new layer load hb-arms follow step 1 except change the blur to 20, deselect

Step 12     Add a new layer load hb-paws repeat step 1, keeping blur at 20. Deselect.

Step 13     Add a new layer load hb-paw-pads repeat step 4. Deselect.

Step 14    Now for the for the inner ears and the paw pads add a drop shadow with the settings below. I added cheek selection if you chose to use it. Save you image as a psp or tube and your done.
